The polarity of the connector was backwards for my needs, so I just swapped the pin locations. Niether of these issues are the manufacturers or sellers fault and are easily fixed. The batteries appear to work fine but I had 3 wires coming from the original battery and this battery only has a plus wire and a black wire so it did not work in my application. I believe it would work in most applications if the demensions were good for your application.

    • Battery I received doesn't hold a charge
The battery we got did not work. In the circuit we were using, we had it plugged in and charging for over a day, and as soon as the device was unplugged it turned off. When I measured voltage, it was measured at about 0.2V. I got a new battery from Adafruit, and was able to get that one to work without changing the circuit at all except putting in the new battery, so the issue appears to be with the battery, not the circuit. ... show more

    • Good battery pack. Accurate capacity.
Battery is as advertised. It has a JST PH 2.0 style connector and was not wired backwards; although what that means varries. The red is plus and the black is minus; there is no standard for what wire goes into what connector pin so you need to verify your device is configured the same way. The battery has a dw01a/8205a protection circuit for overcharge/overdischarge and short circuit. Thus it should be safe for operation with typical devices without additional protection; unless your application needs thermal protection. My pack arrived with a 45% charge which is exactly what you want to see (40-50%) in a new pack. Battery tester reports a true capacity of 3123mAh. A number that is bound to drop after initial cycles and factoring a usable discharge range. This makes 2500mAh a realistic and conservative rating. ... show more
