I purchased this remote control car for my son and it turned out to be wonderful. The car is super flexible and he absolutely loved playing with it. The lights on the car make it great fun at night or in dark places. It's the perfect size for both fun and storage, without taking up too much space. My son played with the car for about half an hour and the battery still had power left. However, if you're looking for a car with a lot of control, this may not be the best option. These cars are meant for crazy driving. The package comes with an extra battery which is great. You can keep a backup battery ready to go. Additionally, the package also includes a screwdriver to open the battery compartment. I feel like this is an added bonus because it's always nice to have an extra one stashed in the junk drawer. Bought two for my 9 yo twins and they absolutely love it. To an annoyance. It comes with two rechargable batteries for the car so one can charge while the other is in-use. We put rechargeable AA into the remotes and they're good to go. Very fee positions does it need physical intervention. It can easily get free. This is an awesome car. It handles well, it does cool tricks and is sturdy. I love that it doesn't obnoxiously play music frenetic music. My daughter also loves it. My only annoyance with it is that you have to remove the battery (with a screwdriver) every time you want to charge it. There are two batteries you can switch between, so you can keep playing indefinitely, BUT it's a whole extra step just to replace the battery. This little car was neat, my husband had fun while it lasted...approximately 1 hour. Then the buttons/switches on the remote quit working and seemed to be getting stuck. They offered a replacement and we were super excited when it came in the mail...unfortunately the battery can't be connected to the charger because it's broken...total bummer.
