I used to connect my Aqara video door bell as I didn't have an existing wired door bell. It works well easy to use. If you have a little carpentry and electrical skills it's easy to hide the wires by fishing it through the wall behind the door casing, base board to the nearest wall outlet. These adapters are great! I have 3 of them; two are used as hardwires for my Ring doorbells and one is used as the C-wire to power my programmable thermostat. It sure beats running wires from breaker to doors and from furnace to thermostat to accomplish the same thing!

Blink Doorbell requires between 1660ma and 40va. 500ma is too low, it wont even power up the device.

Thermostat C wire

    • Didn't work for Google Nest C Wire
I used this for my Google Nest C wire, alone with my furnace R and W wires. Unfortunately my Nest would not recognize it and went completely off line. I can't even run it on battery power overnight until I can buy a different thermostat. Google seems to have identified the work around and now blocks it? My furnace is older and not compatible with a Google connector. Very frustrating. I'll never buy another smart thermostat again. Super waste of time. ... show more
