This is the basic ring doorbell, but it does everything it's supposed to. Excellent peace of mind, and very convenient when you're not around to answer the door. I have bought a few of this model and installed on family and friends' homes, everyone is pleased.

I bought this thing in March of 2023 and didn't get around to install it until just now in November. It was dead out of the box. The wires are flimsy with only a few threads each and they would broke off while being fastened onto the screw terminals. Only after a few tries did they go on. It's hard to believe that with such thin wire any current can be delivered to the device. Anyways, after much work running the wire to the doorbell it was dead out of the box. Couldn’t find my transformer anywhere. So ended up purchasing the a/c adapter. Although the wire shows unfortunately the ring camera is awesome! The app is great. I signed up for storage. I will see if I need it in the future but I like knowing what’s going on and this is awesome. I bought the wall plate that expands because my doorbell was wired on the side where the camera faces my garage. And that solved that issue. ... show more
