  • Perfect to vacuum my inflatable hot tub
This pool vacuum is just what the doctor ordered. I have had my inflatable pool for about 6 weeks or so and I discovered I needed a way to clean the bottom. My in-ground pool is not open and even if it was I would not use the vacuum I do to clean my in-ground pool. This is just like a cordless indoor vacuum that you can actually take the bottom part off, push down a second set of brushes and clean closer to the edges and corners. It does a marvelous job on my inflatable hot tub. I can see this potentially working for above ground pools too but I won't be using this for my in-ground pool since I have its vacuum and using this one would take forever and a day. What I need it for though, it is perfect. When I am done cleaning I pop out the canister and pull out the filters, spray them off and I am done. The one thing I do wish for is for the handle to be extendable. I do not want to affix the included poles because that makes it too long but I would like to slide the white handle up some more. ... show more

  • Great for Spas—Perfect for Touch-Up/Spot Cleaning—Metal Filter Media
This Winny 100P Cordless Handheld Pool Vacuum is the perfect tool for keeping your pool or spa cleaner and healthier. It fills the gap left by other robotic pool cleaners and those powered by your pool's filtration system. The areas around the steps, in tight corners, and where the pool wall meets the floor are spots that don't always get thoroughly vacuumed. This little Winny hand vacuum will get the job done. It is well-made and easy to use. If you can use a household vacuum, then you can use this. Although we don't have a spa, I can see that it would be perfect for that purpose. I was surprised to find the filter media to be metal. I'm assuming it's made of stainless steel. It is easy to access, and you can clean it with a garden hose. The full length of the telescoping pole is an inch shy of 5 ft, which tells me that this would be best used in a spa. It can still be used in a pool, but you'd likely need to get in the water to reach most places. That's how I've been using our Pool Blaster. I don the facemask and snorkel, then swim around underwater doing spot cleaning. It's a lot of fun doing it that way. This unit has really good suction. 25 GPM is impressive for a small vacuum. It has two different heads. A roller head for cleaning along the bottom, and with that removed, you can install a scrub brush head. Another nice feature is seeing the debris through the transparent section and knowing when it's getting full. The run time is less than one hour, which is typical for these types of vacuums. However, it takes several hours to recharge and should be recharged after each use. It's also best to rinse it with fresh water, especially if you have a saltwater pool like ours. I dry ours before charging. Keeping it out of direct sunlight will keep the plastic from getting brittle and keep it looking new. Conclusion: This item met my expectations, which is my standard for four-star items. I recommend it if you are looking for an affordable spa or pool bottom cleaning solution. Keeping your water free from debris will save you money on chemicals and promote a healthier environment in and out of the pool. So, four stars for the Winny. I hope this helps. • Great for Spot Clean-ups
It can be a real hassle to have to get out the suction hose, pole and vacuum roller just for a small mess in the pool. Most of my messes are small because the pool is fitted with an in-floor pool cleaning system. So, it is typically in great shape, but sometimes I get a small pile of pebble-tech pebbles in different locations on the floor of the pool. This vacuum is a great solution for that problem. It is ready to go and it only takes a minute to add it to a pole and go down for the pebbles. It is well-built, but it is lightweight and plastic, so I believe you need to take care when handling it to be safe. The suction power is good. The pebbles are pretty heavy and dense for their size and that is why I am getting the piles. This vacuum sucks them all up without any issues. The battery life is great. I have more than enough time to have it clean everything I need before the battery needs recharging. I like this vacuum and I definitely recommend it. ... show more

  • Dip into Cleanliness: The Winny 100P
So far, this is the only cleaner I have used that can get the paver sand off the bottom of the hot tub. Most just move the water around the sand and pick up lighter items, such as leaves and other organic debris. I am delighted with this cleaner so far. Of the five I have tried, this is currently the best one. I do not understand what is robotic about it other than it has a vacuum motor; it is definitely not autonomous or anything. It is just a stick vacuum for your pool or spa, but this one works great for me in the hot tub. I give it two thumbs up. ... show more

  • Works well but wish the handle was longer
There's a little bit of a learning curve with this. It takes a minute to figure out how the handle all fits together. Then it takes a minute to figure out how to get the angled head off the base to use it in corners. You push the buttons on either side at the same time and pull the angled head off. It pulls a little hard, so don't be surprised that you have to give it a little muscle. I like that there's a handle that connects directly to the cleaner. We have a sun shelf that gets sand on top of it from our pavers and this gadget makes it easier to clean the shelf. Then you can change the handle to the longer handle to clean the floor of the pool itself. I wish the handle to clean the pool floor was longer. It is hard to get to the bottom of the pool as the water gets deeper since the handle is only 59". That said, what I was able to clean I was impressed with the suction power. It really picked up a lot of the debris and sand that landed on the bottom of the pool and sun shelf. So far, the battery seems to last pretty long. I have an automatic pool vacuum that cleans most of the bottom, but it doesn't get into the corners, so this is great for that. Be sure to fully charge it before the first use. If you don't, it may cause the battery to not operate as it should. ... show more
