This handheld pool vacuum is this second’s vacuum I have from this company. The other vacuum I have is the main pool vacuum and it is a robot. So I got this handheld vacuum from the same company because the quality is excellent for the price. This company is customer service is available and they have a long line of pool supplies so I feel that they’re going to be around for a while. The handheld vacuum head is triangular in shape which allows you to reach corners and hard areas that an oval or larger vacuum would not be able to reach. This particular vacuum is great for multiple scenarios in which you have a smaller pool, a hot tub, or ladder, or stair access that the larger vacuum cannot reach. This is a great assistant tool for your main pool cleaning device. This would be rather cumbersome. If this was your only independent pool cleaning vacuum because it is still smaller in stature. The compartment and which holds debris is also smaller so a few leaves and you’re full. I love the fact that scenarios in which you have a smaller pool, a hot tub, or ladder, or stair access that the larger vacuum cannot reach. This is a great assistant tool for your main pool cleaning device. This would be rather cumbersome if this was solely your only independent pool cleaning vacuum because it is still smaller in stature. The compartment in which holds debris is also smaller so a few leaves and you’re full. I love the fact that the charger plug is. I also love that this charger has the indicator lights on the vacuum itself that tells you that the battery is even low and you have less than 10 minutes left in battery life. The head is detachable from the vacuum base so you can use as a smaller hose to get an even smaller space. Also, the vacuum has a brush around that hose that you can extend to add a little bit more cleaning help. Everything is easy to detach and reattach. At the price of $119.99, I absolutely recommend this company and the smaller vacuum as an addition to your main cleaning supplies. I have a small 14 x 12 pool which normally stays very clean most of the year. I hardly ever have to put chlorine in it, but when summer time comes, the leaves start to fall and its all out battle to keep it clean. To drag out the hose and setup the filter vacuum is time consuming and messy. I normally just have some small leaves or debris that drop to the bottom of the pool. While searching Amazon for pool accessories I came cross this underwater pool vacuum and thought it would be perfect for my needs and decided to order it. Once it arrived I was really skeptical that it would work as this technology I have never seen before. So I was excited to try it out. First I charged it to full capacity, then tried to vacuum the pool. It has a very powerful suction and picks up most debris and small leaves. The triangular attachment works well but is not balanced enough to stand on its own. If you take off that attachment and use it almost like a car vacuum it works even better, you can get all the corners, and steps very easy. The charge last long time, few days of usage for me. This is a great addition to your pool cleaning tools. It is great if you have a robot that cleans your pool. They never get the stairs, corners or the seams. This is a really easy way to clean those areas without having to do a lot of heavy lifting. Afterall that’s why we like the robot pool cleaners! You will need to keep it charged, but that’s simple enough. It is easy to clean and easy to use. Good assist.... We have one of those "clacka-clacka" side suction vacuums in our pool. It does a pretty good job but there are some parts of the pool it refuses to go to. Then there is the spa, which it can't go to. That's where this is a "good assist". For a normal pool, the pole included with this is likely not long enough to not hurt your back when using it, though it's nice they included it (more for hot tubs I would say). The good news is, your standard skimmer/vacuum pole will attach to this; (yay). I charged this prior to use as the instructions say; this requires and includes a unique adapter/charging plug; red light while charging, green fully charged (the light is on the adapter, not the vacuum). Misses Shops Too Much is the main pool care person and wanted to try this. Operation seems fairly simple; it needs to be submerged before turning on. The power button is on the top edge and near that an LED. Pressing down (hard) the power button, should turn on the (blue) LED; when that happens, you're ready to go. You can't compare the suction power of this to a full on, pool pump velocity of vacuum, but this did a good job of getting those pesky leaves in the parts of the pool the "main" vacuum couldn't get to, as well as the spa and stairs. I've ordered and reviewed (and taken to HazMat disposal) several of those rechargeable robot pool vacuums. The ones I've ordered work maybe 10 times then die. Since we just got this and have used it only once, I can't say how this will do in the long term, but if it dies in an unreasonable time, I will update this review with that info. For now, this appears to be worthwhile and capable, in context of what it is. You wouldn't want to vacuum your whole pool with it.... That said, this appears to be of quality materials and workmanship. I've given a 4 star rating based on initial impressions and *perceived* quality, not on long term use/longevity.
