  • This is awesome
I've held off on an irrigation system like this for some time now, but finally the stress of hand watering my plants across the property daily took its toll and when I saw this I decided it was time to try it. I should have done it long ago. This kit comes with 200ft of 1/4 inch distribution pipe, which should be more than enough for most small gardens, but I have an acre and a half of land, so I will be building a much bigger system over time, and use this to start it off. It comes with extra splitter heads, extra conversion heads to turn a garden hose opening into a 1/4 inch barb to take the 1/4 inch piping, plenty of sprinkler stakes and T barbs. Setup is not difficult by itself, it is more tedious and meticulous to stop and plan the layout, cut multiple different lengths of tubing, attach it all, sink the sprinkler stake in the ground near the plant, and repeat until the irrigation system is fully built to water all your plants. As for water distribution, it works as well as I was hoping it would, though I wouldn't go adjusting the red plastic heads on the sprinklers all the time, they are small and made of plastic, so I just set them to exactly the right output and don't touch them again. In summary, this kit has everything needed to make watering a garden as simple as turning on a hose, and for an affordable price too. ... show more

  • Couldn't be happier
The media could not be loaded. I set up several garden boxes and potted plants' worth of watering system in less than an hour with this kit! And I don't mean 'after careful planning' - I mean I've never had a drip irrigation system before this one, and within an hour of receiving the Amazon package I was perfectly set up and watering every one of my plants!! The tubing is wound with the loose end coming out of the middle and extremely easy to spool out exactly the length you need (tip: do NOT take apart the rubber bands!) you do not need to wrestle with 200 feet of tubing all tangled up. I'm sure planning can help, but you don't need it. I was totally "in the moment" just running line from one plant to the next and adding the sprayers as I went along. You don't need to measure, just cut the tube with a pair of good scissors wherever you want to add a junction, then add a "T" and cut another length of tube which connects to the sprayer. It's just as easy to add another sprayer or an entire branch later on inline as it is to do it during the initial setup. So feel free to make mistakes, add more plants later... As long as you don't run out of tubing and parts, you can just keep growing the system organically!! Here are a few considerations and minor frustrations.... A FEW nozzles will spray pretty, symmetrical spray patterns a few inches away from the nozzle. However once you add several (even as little as 10) the spray pressure per nozzle significantly decreases to where it really is just a slow drip. Each nozzle is adjustable, all the way down to "completely closed" and you may need to readjust to tighten some of the earlier ones and loosen some of the later ones in the chain to get a more uniform flow. There are probably ways you can make loops that distribute the pressure more efficiently, but anyway, you'll more than likely end up with a very low drip. You could also adjust where some nozzles spray more than others intentionally. If anything comes loose, it's going to be full blast out of that tubing end making the entire system unusable. So make sure the tubing is really wedged on the barb of the tee / nozzle, and every junction is easy to see and access for troubleshooting. That's it! It's really a wonderful way to deliver water exactly where you need it with no waste, a simple setup with no special tools or skills, and such a flexible system that you can grow and evolve to keep up with an expanding garden. ... show more

  • Not worth it
Looks great until you run the water and only your first 5 are running like they should and all the rest are barely dribbling out. Very disappointed and I do not recommend.

  • Great value for the price!
I ordered this irrigation system to supplement and replace part of another system I have. The drip emitters on the current system are not adjustable and just weren't providing enough water to much of my plants. I have fruit trees, vegetables, succulents, and flowering plants and the only plants getting enough water were the succulents. Everything in this system fit with the old system so it was super simple to swap out emitters. I also didn't have enough tubing with the old system to water all my plants so some were still being hand-watered. This system comes with enough materials to provide water to 48 plants!! The old system only watered 20. I was able to add emitters and tubing to the plants that didn't already have them and still have enough materials left over to expand my garden! Also, you get A LOT for what you pay for with this system! The old 20 plant system cost about the same as this one, which waters over twice as many plants! ... show more

  • Easy set-up
This irrigation system was really easy to set up in my raised garden beds. The tubing in plentiful and easy to cut (with a tubing cutter). My fingers were sore after attaching a couple of the sprinkler heads because fitting the hose over the sprinkler or adapter attachment was so tight. However, after soaking the end in really hot water for 30 seconds, it was very easy to work with. I am disappointed that the water pressure isn't high enough for the sprinkler nozzles to do anything more than dribble and the ends of the irrigation system have hardly any water at all. However, that's not a complaint against this system but is something to be aware of before buying this...you must have strong water pressure for this to work well. Other than that, it's a good little DIY system. ... show more
