Okay, so I was skeptical about buying this because the reviews weren’t really that great. People were confused about how to set it up, how the actual timer works, the quality of the hoses…yeah I was nervous. However, let me just say this system is fantastic! I grow medical trees and watering is one of the most important things so I bought this set up. It comes with directions that were pretty basic and easy to follow. Yes the hoses come kinked but the instructions tell you they come that way and advises you how to fix them in just a few seconds. I’ve had no issues with the hoses at all. They were all easy to put together and the fit is snug and I have no leaks PERIOD. I grow in 7 gallon fabric containers and it takes about 4 droppers to give it adequate water since it’s a light pressure drip. The only issue I had is if you’re only growing one plant you’ll need to either purchase stoppers for the other tubes or be prepared to put them in another plant because the set up requires all 8 to be set up at once. Setting up the timer with the pump was simple just click program and set the times and the days of the week you wish to water. You must program a time for when it turns on and then program a time for when it turns off! After you’ve set the times you’d like for watering you then just put the mode to auto off and it will do the rest for you. My plants are now healthy and happy, and all I have to do is top dress from time to time! Please don’t shy away from this product. Works better then other kits in same price range. Has an even flow between all drippers. Only complaint is the packaging. The hoses were all twisted and kinked with only about half of it being usable. Special size also so can’t get from local store without different fittings. The timer is amazing for irrigation. 20 different on/off settings is perfect for feeding little by little. Also the built in regulators help prevent the dreaded siphon. Edit: after a month, only 2 nozzles dispense water, nearly lost 3 plants because these unexpectedly stopped working. Such a simple propposition, pump water through a few plastic hoses. The issue with these are the injection molded splitters that come off the main tubes. Either don't work, fail after use or when they do work, dispense at vastly different rates from each other. If you need to rely on these, you'll end up with dead plants Original reviw: I have all five other Vivosun products that I am very happy with. This "Professional" automatic irrigation kit is very disappointing. It only has to do one thing and that is pump water to the plants. I assembled carefully following directions and only 5 of the 8 irrigation lines had any flow. I made sure there were no kinks and that I was using pure clean water. Ultimately I had to take 3 of the lines off, one from one splitter and two from the other 4 way splitter (not easy to get off once they are on) and use a 1/16th drill to drill out the hole because it was not patent....defectively manufactured. So, if you use these, verify that each line works before you depend on this system to sustain your precious seedlings. After the non working lines were opened, it worked but each line had a substantially different flow rate, some dripped twice a second, others once every3-4 seconds. I would only recommend this for emergency use if going of vacation with no one to water for you. Even then there is a risk. 2 Stars because ultimately it did pump water, I had no time to return it before leaving on vacation or I would have. ... show more

This kit is fantastic! It is super easy to set up and has quality parts for the price. As long as you follow the instructions everything will work great. A lot of the negative reviews state that the tubes were too kinked to let water pass through but the instructions say to soak the tubes in hot water to remove any kinks in the tubing. This is a great little kit for the money don’t let the negative reviews impact your purchasing decision. ... show more

First and foremost, the directions clearly say that the hoses are kinked from shipping and to dunk them in boiling water for about 10 seconds to soften them up and take out any kinks. Any complaints in other reviews are 100% user laziness. This kit was super easy to put together. All the drippers drip evenly. Timer was easy to set up. Great quality and performance. Only needed 6 so I cut one of the drip hoses to connect the 4th outlet on both 4 way regulators making a loop. Well worth the money. ... show more

Another reviewer posted that the hoses are rather kinked in the package. That is true. However, I did some flow tests, and despite the kinks, they all had approximately the same flow. Not enough difference for me to even measure. I have several dislikes besides the kinks. 1) The fitting in the included diagram that connects directly to the pump did not work for me. There is 2 of those fittings in the kit. I could not connect the main hose to either fitting. It just wouldnt go on. There was a 3rd fitting that kind of resembles the first two (though not shown in the parts list, and not shown on the diagram) that works just fine so I used it instead. I was able to get the tube onto that. Thanks for the unnecessary frustration as I dont have enough during the day. 2) It leaks. The parts that leak are the blue pieces shown in the diagram. I have made sure everything is tight as can be and it still leaks. It doesnt leak a lot (about a table spoon in 9 minutes), but they shouldnt leak at all. Other than those 2 irritations, the timer was easy to program and works great. The pump puts out more than enough fluid. At full setting on the pump(it is adjustable), EACH of the 8 lines put out just a tad over 1/2 cup (118ml) in just 9 minutes. So, all 8 combined put out just over 4 cups (appx 1 liter) in 9 minutes. ... show more
