My embroidery machine can make a lot of noise when placed on my wood sewing machine cabinet and is stitching at 600+ stitches per minute. I can barely hear the television and interferes with my husband's ability to hear well. Neither of us could tell any difference in the noise level with the pad in place. The embroidery machine is 28" long, so I may try placing the smaller mat under the embroidery unit as an extension of the larger mat.
