    • False advertisment, not 31" tall.
The main reason I bought this fire pit was because it was advertised as being 31" tall in its description. Actually after being fully assembled, it is 24" tall to the top of the mesh screen. Wanted the tallest one possible so the grand kids didn' have to bend over that far to roast their marshmellows. Greatly disapointed. The assembly process was pretty much straight forward, however it would be advised to have another person assisting when assembling the four (4) outer rings to the fire bowl. It is very awkward, but not impossible, for one person to do it. It just adds more time to the assembly and some added frustration.. The supplied blister parts package is a good idea, but the lettered parts identification is hindered due to its packaging. Also, I was shorted two (2) bolts identified as AA, but was given two (2) nuts identified as BB; extra. This resulted in a delay in the assembly process. After reading the reviews, I decided to paint the entire fire pit with hight temperature rustoleum paint, in the hopes of prolonging its life expectancy. I also purchased sand for the base of the bowl and ordered a cover. Although others had indicated that they cover it when left outside, its was also stated to store it inside. So, in the hopes of obtaining a longer life for it, I will cover it and store it in my shed. However, i do realize that in time rust will prevail, I just hoped to prolong it as long as I can. ... show more

    • leg broke during assembly
One of the legs had very short screw stems, I managed to put it on but while assembling the ring around the unit, that leg broke off from it's base (the screws are still in the unit, under the unit the bar is there but the leg separated from the bar that had the screw stems attached. The legs are not welded together very good; on the one that separated there is no visual break looks like the assembly base part was just sitting wedged inside the leg. The inside food grill piece doesn't fit the inside holding brackets so be careful placing any food on this unit or it will topple inside the fire. I purchased it just to burn wood I wouldn't dare chance cooking on it for anything in this world. I'm going to see if the manufacturer will ship me the leg cause this was a little frustrating putting this together and I'd hate to take it apart. Also, the tools they include are flimsy and will bend while tightening so be careful. ... show more

One leg broke after being slid on concrete. My fault but needed to move it and had to do it myself. It is very flimsy probably a half inch wide angle anchoring it to the bottom. If I hadn't disposed of my box I would send it back so I'll just use a rock 😖
