  • Solid rack for the money
Style: Upgrade
I have a fat tire e bike that is very secure when transporting on bike rack. The rack is solid construction and easy to assemble. I did purchase an extra strap to tie bike down. Good deal for the price.

  • E bike hitch mount
Style: Superior
Well built and easy to assemble. The only negative is the info on Amazon says it will support 180 lbs., while the box says 120 lbs. That is a major difference, our bikes are 60 plus pounds with the batteries, guess I’ll remove them for transport. Really disappointed in Amazon for the info that they show. ... show more

  • Bomb-Proof Rack with Lock and Stabilizer
Style: Superior
I have probably used every kind of bicycle rack in my racing career, going back to one held with straps on a Ford Fiesta( I do not know how it ever worked) to a roof rack(Drove into a garage in Denver and forgot the bicycle was on top) to sticking them into SUVS's( taking off the front wheel is not always optimal) and finally to receiver models for the last three. The trailer hitch receiver models in my opinion work the best. They hold the bicycles firmly, usually don't sway too much in the wind, and are easy to take off and put on after a race. The issues I have had have been mostly concern with security, so I used two hefty u-locks plus steel cables. Still, every time I racked my bicycle and went out on a run, I would worry about my baby being safe. And I always used a strong stabilizer strap that loops through eyelets in the bottom of the rack. And then worry about it splitting. This model of rack solves my biggest problems. It still has the convenience of being "easy-on easy off" with the tilting and folding ability, but also adds a stabilizer lock And a built-in security lock. With the strapping system gone, you instead have a sliding hook that, when locked keeps your ride secure from swaying and also makes it impossible to pry the frame out of the holder. Unless someone used a cutting torch, and at that point someone will notice and intervene, hopefully. And it's a question of "possible but not probable". It's important to keep in mind that this rack is designed for a 2" receiver hitch, and not the 1 1/4" model that is common for hitch bicycle racks. With the weight of this rack at nearly 40 points, it's hefty, and designed to transport e-bikes as well as road and MTB. So you need to check your setup first, as an adaptor might make this a bit less stable. OVERALL - If you have a 1 1/4", I'd recommend upgrading to a 2". It's worth it for this really superior bicycle transport system ... show more

  • Great rack, with one drawback
Style: Superior
This is a terrific bike rack, up there in build quality with other big brands. It was easy to put together, and the locking system for the hitch mount is superb. The bikes sit securely once the bottom tracks are properly adjusted, and the lock downs hold the bikes securely with no wobble or sway. The only issue I have is that the locks for the clamp down arms are keyed differently, so you have to use two different keys to unlock the clamps and remove the bikes. I'm not sure why they couldn't just use the same lock so you only need one key. It's pretty annoying and is worth deducting a star. Otherwise, this is a terrific rack and a great value considering the much more expensive options out there. Recommended. ... show more

  • Trash,

Broke within the first couple of hours of using it. The horizontal arm that holds the tires bent causing the bikes to come loose. Damaged $1900 worth of brand new E bikes that we hadn't even used yet and caused damage to the vehicle.

  • Heavy, strong bike rack.
Style: Superior
This is a large, heavy duty bicycle rack that fits into a standard square trailer hitch on the back of trucks or larger vehicles. It safely and securely holds two bicycles, and has multiple safeguards to keep them in place. We have been using this to tow two full sized mountain bikes and so far, absolutely no problems! We have gone on the expressway multiple times with the two bikes in back and there has never been an issue with loose mounting. I routinely check both the rack itself and the bikes attached and they have always remained perfectly in place where they were placed. High quality, sturdy, quite heavy, and reliable once you have it all hooked up properly. A great product! ... show more

  • Pretty good overall, great for the price
Style: Superior
For the price, I don't think you can beat this carrier. It is seriously heavy duty and almost overbuilt, and it's really nice that it accepts pretty much any kind of bike from a road bike to a fat bike. There IS room for improvement though: The locking hitch pin wasn't long enough for a standard Tacoma hitch, not a big deal to get another one though. The locks themselves on the top tube clamp don't want to work very well under high tension, so I usually loosen them slightly if I'm leaving the vehicle to get the key to work (I clamp them down super tight for transport). Finally, it would be nice if the straps were a plastic ratchet style, these take more time to fiddle with. Finally, I over-torqued one bolt on assembly and broke it. As a result, I replaced all four main bolts with Grade 8 hardware from the hardware store. It was worth the piece of mind for $5. Despite those things, this actually rivals carriers in the $500 range, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. It's held up to some serious off-road bouncing abuse too. If you're on a budget or don't care about having the sweet name brand thing, get it! ... show more

  • Nice
Style: Superior
This is an upgrade from our previous rack where the bikes hang on a bar with only a couple plastic straps holding them in place. This rack is more sturdy, and I really like how secure the bikes are. They don’t bump into each other or the truck, and I don’t worry about if they will fall off the rack. Takes about 15 minutes or so to put together. It’s made well with quality parts and materials. ... show more
