HOW TO START ? 1.Turn on the scooter, and check the power indicator. 2.Step on the deck with one foot, and slowly kick off the other. 3.When the scooter starts to cruise, put both feet on the deck and press the accelerator to engage the motor. I have two other e-scooters, both of which cost significantly more ($200 to $450 more) than this one. Both of those e-scooters are currently not rideable due to damaged and non-repairable pneumatic tires which are very difficult to replace. In contrast, with this scooter, you never need to worry about that, due to its wonderful SOLID rubber tires. It has an excellent design and is extremely easy to ride and steer. There is just one brake, but it’s absolutely not a problem; it has more than sufficient braking power. The scooter goes as fast as 19 -20 mph, which is absolutely plenty of speed; it’s a bit slow going up hills (about 8 mph), but it more than makes up for that with its level terrain and downhill speed and other great features. I believe this scooter is the best value for your money compared to similar (and even more expensive e-scooters) offered for sale through Amazon. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I recently purchased the electric scooter, and I have been really impressed with its performance. As someone who commutes to work every day, I needed a scooter that was reliable, fast, and easy to use, and the scooter delivered on all fronts. First off, the scooter is incredibly easy to set up - I had it up and running within minutes of unboxing it. The controls are simple and intuitive, and the LCD display is easy to read and provides all the information I need while riding. The scooter itself is well-built and feels sturdy and durable. I was a little nervous about riding an electric scooter for the first time, but the scooter felt very stable and easy to maneuver, even at higher speeds. Speaking of speed, this scooter is fast! It has a top speed of 20mph, which is plenty fast enough for me to keep up with traffic on my commute. The battery life is also impressive - I can ride for 17.5 miles on a single charge, which is more than enough to get me to and from work without having to recharge.     • DECENT FOR THE PRICE POINT - WOULD BUY AGAIN - SOME HELPFUL TIPS

I wanted to own this for a little bit before reviewing - Overall, decent scooter for the price point. I'm ~180lbs.....I have not been able to get the advertised 17 miles on a full charge, even on level ground, at speed setting 1. However, you can get decent travel time out of it - maybe 12-13 miles depending on how you ride it. It is really easy to assemble - basically just screw on the top part for the handle bars and you're done. It folds down really easy; the square lever on the left side of the handle bar clips to the hook on the rear tire guard to make sure it stays folded. YOU WILL need to adjust the brakes. If you don't have one, buy a bicycle tool. Adjust brakes upon assembly. It's not hard, but may take a bit to get just right. Out of the box, mine were super tight and scraping the disc, tapping the brake and it was almost instant stop, enough to throw you over the handle bars at speed. Start riding slowly and check the brakes, gradually increase speed and try again. If you hear a scraping sound while riding, if the brakes seem over aggressive - they're too tight. If it takes forever to stop, they're too loose. There is a nut clamping the silver brake wire. Loosen the nut - pull the wire to increase braking, slide it back to decrease braking. Tighten the nut to hold wire in place (at the proper setting). Once you think you have them set, try to go down a slope, and ensure the brakes will allow a quick, but gradual stop (yes, contrary to some of the reviews, if YOU set the brakes correctly you can do gradual braking); adjust as needed and make sure the bolt holding the silver wire is tight, or the vibration can cause it to loosen (causing a loss of brakes). Many of the reviews complain about the brakes - while the manual isn't the greatest, even the manual recommends adjusting the brakes. Spend the time to get them right, and #1 it's a safer ride #2 it's a more pleasant experience. No need to use an app to ride, turn on, and push off. Instructions weren't clear, but the scooter is really easy to use: Press button to turn "ON." Press again = speed setting 2 (~15mph max) Press again = speed setting 3 (~20mph max) Press again = back to 1 (~10mph max). (the display will show you the setting - if for some reason you turned it "ON" and it started in a diff setting) Press the button twice quickly = headlight "ON" Press the button twice quickly again = headlight "OFF." Expect to lose speed/power uphill. Steeper slopes - it's an e-scooter, expect it to struggle. Overall, it seems sturdy. Tires are fairly rugged; not the greatest in grass. I was able to take it through gravel/loose dirt; not as great as on asphalt, but doable. If the manufacturer reads these - one recommendation for future models: a way to hold/grab the scooter so you could "walk" it on one wheel when folded. This way you wouldn't have to carry it when getting on a subway etc, but could have it folded to take up less space, and easy to maneuver. For now, I just grab it by the rear wheel and "walk" it on the front wheel. ... show more
