Highly recommend. Well made. Works great. But take heed to those who warn that you should unwind it fully, then rewind it under a load. I learned this is true when I used it the first time and the slack gave way a bit. So take it out, and when you load your boat, pull it all out and wind it in under the load of your boat to get rid of all the slack. ... show more

Pretty easy install. My holes on my trailer from the factory one didn’t line up. Had to drill a hole (7/16). Worked just fine after that. Hardware wasn’t included. I added blue loctite to mine also. Read you need to unwind it totally and re-wrap it. That took 10 mins but makes it better and makes the reel tighter. ... show more

looks like a really nice setup EXEPT for the locking mechanism,,the locking fingers are changed with a spring and a really cheap piece of metal that the spring rides in ..after a few cycles of this arm there is visible metal shavings in the v pattern slot..im not seeing this to be very reliable or lasting very long if you load and unload alot..not really sure i trust this with my prized possession bass tracker !! its also difficut to change the position because the spring is soo tight and just DRAGS against the metal slot ..really bad locking set up CHEAP !!! i had to drill a hole in the bracket to match the mounting points on my trailer and i changed it to a right hand crank so returning it is out,,i will put the old one back on because i dont trust this locking mech,,i will look for another brand to secure my tracker !! you decide for yourself !!! ... show more
