This little car looks nice for what it is, a way for little kids to get some time driving safely. Assembly was fairly easy, though the directions are translated from Chinese so not the clearest. We tested all the controls after assembly. Everything worked properly, and the horn and music choices were cute. Took it driving the day after assembling it by giving it to some children to play with. They put it through its paces pretty well, tested out the controller and the pedal driving functions too. The kids were frustrated by the turning, but the speed settings and the collision detection were good. The controller isn't intuitive: the buttons are all black plastic, indented with symbols or letters to go forward, backward, left, and right, as well as change speeds. But it's easy once you get the hang of it. The children took the vehicle off-road and a bad solder in one of the two wheel motors snapped off. While this was easy for us to repair as we have soldering equipment and skill, it might have been a bigger issue if you aren't familiar with this small task, so if your children are going to get serious use out of it, make sure to have some basic electrical repair knowledge and equipment so you can fix anything that breaks or wears out. This is the cutest little car. I got it to keep around for the little kiddos in the family that show up from time to time. We have so much land out here, it's a completely safe place to use this. But we still want some control. Enter the parental control of this car. If a kiddo gets to going to fast or to places they were told not to go, the parental control just slows things right down and prevents the kiddo from engaging as long as the parent control is active. I wish we could have done this with the cars when our kids were teenagers 20 years ago. It's a very realistic car. My son says it's the car Kim K drives. I imagine it is the car she drove last month. I assume she has a new one now. It's definitely a scaled down version of a very luxury car. It has working headlights, that are quite bright and cute. It has bluetooth and USB plug in for ... wait for it... music! It plays music. I'm dying over here. The 12V rechargable battery runs about an hour. You could get another battery to have on charge standby, especially if a few kids are involved with playing with it. Pay attention to the height and weight guidelines on this. A kiddo who was a bit too tall couldn't get out once she got it, her legs were stuck. It was fairly dramatic as the car went sideways in her panicked attempt to be free. She was fine and she apologized to the car as she tried to right it. I just can't get over how much this car offers little ones. I mean, honestly, this ride is better than mine! ... show more

This was fairly simple to assemble, maybe 30 minutes for me. The car works well with the remote control. My daughter is too young to use the pedals so I cannot attest to those. The radio is cool that it plays music and will connect to your phone via bluetooth. The startup noise scares my 1 year old a little (it's the engine revving) but I'm sure she'll get used to it once she gets a little older. We took her in the car one time so far and used the remote control while safely guarding her. She's too young to really spend alot of time in it. Overall, the car looks awesome and now my 1 year old has a nicer car than the whole family. ... show more

The remote worked for the first day then would only work on the slow setting then eventually started blinking non stop and then stopped working completely
