I got this set mainly as a travel set of dishes while we go camping over the summer. The plates have a great lip, which means if I have a saucy dish or stew I can use the plates. The bowls are the average cereal bowl size and would hold a decent portion of food. I've attached a picture of the cup compared to my coffee cup. It's slightly smaller but still holds a good amount. I like the design on the outside which reminds me of paper plates or fiestaware, it gives it a little more dimension and allows a better hold on the cups. I did run the full set through the dishwasher when they arrived, and they all made it through ok. (I have a small apartment dishwasher). I will say the one thing I don't care for is that the way the lip on the plates comes up makes it hard to stack them in the dishwasher. Other than that, so far I'm liking the set. I haven't tried microwaving the dishes yet, but the seem fairly sturdy. ... show more

This review is for “12pcs Wheat Straw Dinnerware Set for 4”. I chose this dinnerware set for RV vacations; looking something that would clatter less than glass while on the road. They are very lightweight and look exactly like plastic. The cups and bowls stack nicely and don’t make a sound. The plates rattle a little bit but it is a soft sound. I chose the beige set, which has specks of color. I think it is quite an attractive set. The cups hold 12 ounces when filled nearly to the rim. The bowls hold 2 cups comfortably and 3 cups if you want to fill them nearly to the rim. The plates are a little smaller than my regular dinner plates but plenty big for a meal and I like the “pasta bowl” shape. ... show more

It just like regular dish. Every time, my friend asking me about why the plate is like that. I can tell them is wheat straw. Easy to clean, Good quality. I drop it on the floor once and it doesn’t break unlike other dish. I quite recommend it.
