I bought this product again this year to cover the pool as it comes in different sizes and colors. It is not to thick and has weathered a year out in the elements. But thick enough that can use for something else when done. Geart value.

I ordered 3 of the 12x20 heavy duty tarps and have been using them for a few months. They've endured strong winds, heavy rain, and haven't ripped or leaked. Very satisfied with them and will buy more when I need to. I like how the corners are reinforced and how thick the tarp material is.

The tarp material itself is very good quality. The aluminum grommets that everyone mentions negatively are definitely the low point. They were falling apart as soon as I opened the package. Fortunately for my application I wasn't planning on using them to secure the tarp. Works for my application but I'd be disappointed with tear out if securing the tarp with the grommets. ... show more

    • dont buy if you need STRONG TARP

DISLIKE: the first time we tried to tie the tarp up today, the weight of the tarp itself ripped the corner of the tarp with the "reinforced grommet" right off as soon as we lifted the tarp to tie it at the corner. Several of the other grommets have already started to tear away from the tarp material. Also one side of the tarp was draped over the top of a wooden fence with only mildly pointed edges but the tarp has already torn at those stress points. but hey, it's a pretty blue color! I'd recommend choosing another brand and tarp if you need a waterproof tarp that won't get holes the first time you use it, even following normal usage without "stressing the tarp" or covering something with any sharp corners like boxes. We only had tied the tarp across an empty space of lawn that we wanted to keep covered from the impending rain. It tore up while hanging it before any storm ever got here, so I do not have high hopes for it surviving the rain tomorrow and next day... I gave only one star for "water resistance" even though it has not started raining yet because it is not very waterproof with holes already in many areas. I even noticed thinning areas along lines where the tarp had been folded inside the packaging. Those will probably be leaking. --- I cannot recommend this product to others. It is too expensive to be such a disappointment for the value. ... show more

    • The grommet holes are not so
The tarps themselves are very sturdy and even a little puncture resistant, but I’m guessing they used some kind of a heat treatment when placing the grommets. It’s only been 2 months, and 2 minor monsoons here in north Phoenix and already lost 4 grommets have ripped off. It’s not too tight, not too loose, just a little flapping around and they failed.
