My daughter is 9 and she wanted a microscope for Christmas. I found this one and was so pleased on how user friendly it was! The only thing I would add is that I wish there were more slides! WOW!! Perfect your little inspiring scientist! Homeschooling has become quite the challenge for me. I decided to invest in this microscope to help the kids with their science studies.. It’s Very user friendly!! We love this microscope! My grandson got one for Christmas and the whole family enjoyed looking under the microscope. It comes with great slides, and also blank slides to investigate whatever you like. We looked at skin cells, hair, plants, blood, anything else we could think of. I also ordered additional slides. I got this for my son for his birthday. it is a really nice microscope. it has everything with it to get started. it has 3 different eye pieces and I like that it has a led light. it's easy to set up and start using. My son has it set up on his desk in his room and he is always looking at something threw it. He is learning while having fun. Its durable and sturdy. it's well made and worth the price. I was unsure if I my daughter was going to like this and willing to explore more things under the microscope. It wasn’t even a question when she saw it. She was super excited to play with it. It was very easy to use and she can independently do it herself. She did not have any difficulties using it on her own at all. I just can't recommend this to any buyer. It's cheaply built and rather flimsy. Focus factor equals a zero. Spend a few more bucks on a Swift model like I did and you won't regret it.
