Works good in a small room, but works well even in a larger room. was easy to set up and once it cooled the area down it started cycling on/off when necessary. Price was good and will see if it stands the test of time. So far pleased with this AC unit.

The unit itself appears to work fairly well. But bear in mind that 10,000 BTUs in a portable unit is not as powerful as a window unit. I’d say it’s more akin to a 6000 btu window AC. This just has to do with the nature of portable air conditioners having to discharge the hot air out your window. Which leads me to my first, but minor, criticism. Though the adjustable plastic barrier does fit ok in my double hung window, there was no stick on or any other insulation included, which is pretty standard for this type of unit. Closing the window, by itself without insulation, leaves many gaps and small holes where outdoor air can come inside. For the extra $$ that little bit of insulation must cost it seems like a major oversight. Fortunately insulation can picked up at any hardware store. Another feature that is missing is any sort of energy saving function. The AC can function as a fan (without condenser turned on), a dehumidifier (with condenser turning on and off) and fan, with no condenser being used. But there is no option to let the fan cycle on and off and turn on automatically if it detects higher room temps. Given the power consumption this makes me hesitant to leave it running when I’m not around home. That being said, the unit is very reasonably priced and does work to bring down the temperature in the room. I’d guess that it’s good for any room up to 150-200sqft but not much larger. It has two drains in the back and can be hooked up to constantly drain through a hose when using as a dehumidifier, or to empty the chamber/bucket when it fills from normal ac use. I believe it recycles some of that water to use in the cooling process and I have not had to empty it yet after running for about a week. If your willing to look past a few missing features and skimping on the insulation, this appears to be a solid unit for small room use without breaking the bank. ... show more

This unit is efficient and effective. It is fairly easy to install and produces very cold air. It keeps up with high heat in a small to mid sized room without problem. While the house does have central air, we sometimes only want/need one smaller area to be cooled. While this is not what I would consider easily portable, it is easy to install in the area you want it, and then leave it there to use as needed. It is quiet and comes with some nice features like a remote, a timer, and also… the unit itself is like a box fan noise level. It also has a dehumidifier, which is a un-necessary feature in very dry climates, but if you are in a more humid area, you may find that a nice benefit. The remote, while a nice addition, is also an extra. You can use the unit without it, which is nice if you have children or are somewhat absent-minded!     • Listed Specs are misleading

I did a lot of researching on portable AC units and finally bought this Fiogohumi 10,0000 Btu unit because the specs listed on the Amazon site were impressive. To my dismay this unit is really just a Biweden A019BDJ at 7,000 btu with a cooling area of only 250 sq. feet. What amazon listed was specs for a true ‘Fiogohumi’ 10,000 btu unit for a cooling area of 350 sq. feet. Also the manual doesn’t list any warranty information. The only thing I found to be true was the R32 gas, the CEER of 6.5 and the photo in the listing. I am not stating this is not a bad unit because it does cool with a differential of 25 degrees and is quieter that I expected. I now doubt all the Amazon listing information on this unit. I gave it only three stars because most of the listing information is not only misleading but totally untrue. Never again will I accept the Amazon listing specs at face value. By the way the listing information for this exact unit at Home Depot and Wayfair are accurate (found after the purchase). ... show more

We needed something to help cool our kids bedroom. For whatever reason it just get's hotter in there than any other room in the house. It has done a great job of cooling the space down, but I just wish it had a quiet setting. I have turned it on late to cool their room as they are going to bed, but hard to sleep when it is running and pretty loud. ... show more

I thought I might use this FIOGOHUMI 7100BTU Portable Air Conditioner in my home first, but turns out my office needed it more. Our front lobby air has been out since the start of summer & it doesn't appear to be getting fixed any time soon. So, I brought in this bad boy to cool the place down. You really do get the cooling effect & it could clearly cool off a space much larger than I had. We definitely need to get the air conditioner repaired, but until then, this works. ... show more

This ac works really well. I like that I can roll it around and point the air flow to where I want it. The touch screen is nice but I really like having the remote to control it from across the room. I'm not a fan of the connection between the exhaust hose and either of the connectors. Other than the connection issues I think it's great. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This portable air conditioner is only partially portable. You must have the exhaust going outside. It was fairly easy to set up. I set mine up in my bedroom. My bed is very high and was blocking the unit, so I put it on a solid shower bench(with a 250 pound weight limit). It works well at night and in cooler temperatures. However, I have to put on the central air along with it on hotter days. I'm hoping to use the central air less, since I spend all my time mainly in my bedroom. Since using this portable air conditioner, I've been using the central air less than half of what I used to. I'm hoping to see a lower electric bill next month. Fingers crossed. It is a bit loud. Especially at night when it shuts off and kicks back on again. It does blow extremely cold when you're next to it. Nice air conditioner so far. ... show more
