It's very quite compared to my old one. It works great. I've had no issues using it. This is 4.52 CFM so it's not gonna run some air tools as it'll overload. It's perfect for what I need. Great for airing up tires, pools, etc. Highly Recommend.

I'm no expert on air compressors (this is the first one I've owned), but I do know they aren't supposed to leak out most of the air when you shut them down. At first, the test of this product went well. It pumped up to 110 PSI (according to the gauge it came with) and shut off with no leaking air at all - all good. I didn't have any tools to test it with yet, and I read in its manual that if you want to move it that you should empty the air tank, so I used the relief valve and emptied all of the air. A few days later I got the hose and tools I needed to give it a real test, so I moved it to where it would sit all the time and gave it a go. Now the relief valve opens up at around 90 PSI and continues to bleed air (with the compressor turned off) until it drops to 20 PSI. If I leave the compressor on, it will never shut off because it can't reach the 110 PSI that it is trying to achieve. I can still use it, but if I want to use it for a long period, I imagine the motor would overheat. I'm also testing an airbrush that my Vine program allowed me to order, and I can see needing to keep air pressure up for long periods of time, so I'm not sure if this compressor will do the job. I can't imagine a homestead need that this could solve. This baby is a powerhouse! The output is great! It's pretty noisy but still less then my old compressor! I like the colors and the esthetics - The wheels on the front make it easy to haul around! Great compressor all around!

The media could not be loaded. This BRRIY 8-gallon air compressor is a great addition to my shop. It's compact, wheeled so it's easy to move around, and built for functionality. There aren't really any frills on this oil-free compressor: it's mounted on an 8-gallon tank, all components easily accessible and visible, so any eventual mechanical problem will be easy to track down. And it's remarkably quiet -- for a compressor (video): my brand-name pancake compressor makes far more noise, leading me to leave the shop while it fills the tank, and this BRRIY compressor is practically background noise, by comparison, though far from a whisper.... Assembly is simple: the wheels and front rest need to be bolted on, and the air filter threaded into its port. (There's no mention of where that is in the manual, but it's on top far end of the unit, as the photo shows.) Construction looks pretty solid: the welds on the the tank are a bit splattery, but it's all carefully spray-painted over those. It's certainly a tightly-built machine, and held a full charge overnight with no drop in pressure. There are a few weaknesses. The pressure regulator screw is under the power switch cover, so the cover needs to be removed (1 Philips head screws) to adjust it (photo). The on-off switch could be a problem, too: it needs considerable pressure to move it up (on) or down (off). And it's simply a two-position hollow plastic rod that contacts a pressure sensor: if that plastic were to break it wouldn't be easy to repair or work around, and I don't know where repair parts could be found. That said, it's about perfect for a small shop like mine. And it's certainly a good deal when compared to other compressors of the same size and horsepower. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Got this air compressor when I need to do some wood working inside the house. Need something that doesn't wake up the neighbors and rattle the garage door. This unit air tank is about 8 gallons and runs off on 110v. I'm not sure what's the amp draw on this but I hooked this up to my retractable extension cord and it didn't pop the circuit breaker. This compressor is also very easy to push and move around. I wouldn't exactly say it's lightweight but it small and compact. Also this is a twin head design and it's able to pump up to around 120psi fairly quick before the shut off switch kicks in. I hooked this up to my air chuck and was able to fill up the tires on my Toyota 4Runner which is on 33's from 10psi to 46psi within 1 minutes or so. Lastly I did mention this air compressor is super quiet. You can actually run this thing at night without waking up the neighbors. Great air compressor which is perfect for filling up cars/truck tires and small air tools like brad nailers and even roofing nailers. ... show more
