These "CarPlay" devices are an easier, more temporary type install solution. Think of it as a glorified iPad on your dash. The only difficult part is installing the backup cam as it has a wire you need to run around the car's trim if you want to use it. Pros: Bluetooth: You can link this to modern smartphones via BT to use it's features Widescreen: The widescreen lets you use GPS, music, backup cam, etc. at same the time easily Resolution: The dash cam is 4K and back cam is 1080P Features: Allows you do do several common apps like GPS, music, FM radio broadcast, etc. Cons: Instructions: Minimal instructions, but there is a video on this page that shows you the important things. Mount: The mount stability isn't as good as it should be. I had the adhesives to fix this problem. Interference: Other devices in the car can cause interference and it warns you about this. I have lost connection several times to my phone. Overall, this does what I wanted it to do. It works as an easily installed dash cam that has some bells and whistles when I want them. I set this up on the dash of my jeep and the size is nice. Not too big or small. It was very easy to pair with my iPhone and instantly had access to things like contacts, music, maps and navigation which I don't have in my older Jeep. The camera functionality was nice and came with plenty of cable for running the rear camera. I only have two real issues with this device: 1. I haven't been able to really figure out how to mount it. The mounting device is unusual and there are no instructions for that. I tried on the dash and on the windshield but it would fly off on big bump. 2. While it's advertised as wireless car play and it does do that and work fine in that regards, in order for it to work, it needs to plug into your cigarette adapter and your stereo's AUX port, so the screen itself has 2 wires going to your dash/console area. Again plenty of cable to be flexible if you want to be clever and route it under the dash somehow, but also all that cable gets in the way, if you don't have a good way to hide it. I gave this product 4 stars because it technically is capable of everything it claims, comes with plenty of cable and works great, but had difficulty mounting it. ... show more

    • It's NOT 10.26".

I just got this yesterday, and began fooling with it that evening. Of course, the first thing I did was measure the screen, and it turns out it's only 9.3" diagonally, not 10.3". The screen mirroring stuff works, but you can only cast YouTube, and no other streaming services. Even YT videos look bad because the frame rate is so low. It's just mirroring your phone, not actually casting. You can't cast YT like you can on your TV. I can't even choose when to record. It's just constantly recording. I can stop the recording, but within 10 seconds, it starts recording again. Looking at the camera while recording, the picture is full screen (24:9), but stretched. The video playback will be 16:9 though. Snapshots will always be full-screen, and stretched, though the actual file is 1920x1080 (16:9), and would look normal on a computer. The biggest flaw for me is you can't even playback your dashcam footage on a computer without doing extra work. The video files are in a TS format. And you also can't view any media on it, like photos and videos that you put on the SD/TF card. I tried for the last two days, but haven't figured out a way. I figured since the format it uses for snapshots is JPG, you could put any JPG file in the Pictures folder, and view it on the screen, but that's not the case. I know mp4 videos won't show up, but I haven't converted a video to TS to test yet, but I'm pretty sure that's not gonna work either. All the ports are on the bottom so you can't really use the AUX cable, and have it mounted on the dash. I haven't tried the backup camera yet. My car already has one, but this should look much nicer. This gets a 1 star because they lied about the screen size, and I paid a lot of money for this when I could've got something much cheaper with the same quality. ... show more
