  • Prints well
Color: 1kg-basic-rainbow
This pla changes color often. That makes for good looking prints.

  • Looks great, strings like cotton candy.
Color: 1kg-basic-rainbow
The color change frequency is perfect, and I haven't yet had an issue with warping. I've printed several models so far and the problems I've had seem mostly due to use error and not the filament. The end results are beautiful and easy to clean up. My only issue is that it strings a lot, and when it does it's got the consistency of cotton candy. UPDATE (September 7, 2023): I have started having some issues with prints failing due to this cotton candy stringing happening on the first layer. I'm still playing around with settings. ... show more

  • This filament has terrible quality control.
Color: 1kg-basic-rainbow
This filament is cheap, and that's great. It also looks pretty cool when you get a successful print. But I've now had two prints fail because the filament is not a consistent diameter. The first print that failed was ~10 minutes away from finishing a 17hr print. Fortunately, I was able to print just the remaining portion and glue it on, but the reason the print failed is there was a ~6cm section of filament that was over 0.5mm too large, which jammed my Bondtech BMG and was a pain to remove. Thankfully, the second failed print was a much shorter one, but the reason the failure happened was again due to filament that was way out of spec. This time, the filament got through the extruder, as it appears to only have been ~1cm long. But, the section of filament has such a large diameter that I can't even pull it out of the short piece of bowden tube that's being used for the direct drive from the BMG to the E3D V6. I can accept a roll having one section of filament that's out of spec - especially when it's inexpensive like this was. But two sections that break a print - one of which requires me to pull out and cut a new Bowden tube is unacceptable. I won't be buying this brand's filament again as 3d printing is difficult enough - I don't need any more stress because the filament itself might completely jam up my extruder system. That being said, the filament does look good if you manage to get a good section of the roll, and it sticks to the bed just as well as any other PLA based silk filament I've used. ... show more

  • Solid Filiment
I absolutely love this filiment. I have been using all variations of the colors in my X1C and have never had an issue printing. The colors are always vibrant and have never had a wet filament issue. Always prints beautifully. Of course Value is spot on for the multi color filiments. By far one of the best ive used. Highly recomend. ... show more

  • Works fine, but seller pics are hyper-saturated
Color: 1kg-basic-rainbow
Had some issues with bed adhesion, but increasing the bed temp to 70°C fixed that. And it printed fine as shown in my pic, no issues clogging so far. The issue is that the filament is very dark -- look at the yellow in my koopa shell and compare it to the seller's. The results are shiny as expected, which is nice. This "dark rainbow" is actually pretty cool, and I do like how my prints came out! But it's not what I was expecting based on the seller's pics. ... show more

  • Gorgeous filament
Color: Clear Rainbow
Bought this for a special project for my wife and WOW is all I can say. It's very translucent - made some sculptures with it including an Egyptian cat, very clear bowls and vases, flexi-axolotls and more. Goes through the full rainbow in roughly 100g. Infill WILL show through, but gyroid makes it just look even more like art. 100% would buy again! ... show more

  • Jammed up in my Prusa MK2.5 - Dull
Color: 1kg-basic-rainbow
Man I really wanted to like this filament. I bought it specifically because it was a bright rainbow it was perfect for a gift print I wanted to do. First print attempt failed. Seemed too cool so I cranked up the heat after reading reviews here that a lot more heat was needed. OK fine. Managed to print an OK looking test cube. Some layers were poor though so I turned up the heat a little more and got a failed print, OK turned it down a little, another failed print. Fine, go back to the original test cube that worked and that one failed as well. Turns out the feeder was slipping because the filament was jammed up in the hot end. I knew better then attempt a retract. After some choice 4 letter words I was able to cook the filament at 255C and force it through with some quality brand name PLA that I normally use. Hot end rebuild avoided thankfully. The rest of the filament went in the trash. This is so frustrating and wasteful to throw away this much plastic, but this is the world we live in where companies make manufactured waste and eWaste. The other thing I want to talk about is the supposed brightness of this PLA. In the Amazon listing it's bright and vibrant. But when I got it, it's dull and overly shiny. When printed it looked like someone mixed a bunch of paint colors together, it just looked terrible. I did like that the spool was made out of cardboard. I was intending on recycling that when I got to the end of this spool, but off to the land fill it goes. I have it 2 stars only because of this. So yeah obviously I don't recommend this PLA. For the money you can spend a few more dollars and get quality filament from other places. Update: I will give this PLA to a friend and warn them of the problems I've had with it. For now it's sitting in my dry box. ... show more

  • Dual Gold coffee , creamy
This review is for the gold coffee dual silk pla. I've used up a little over half the role. It always prints well. The coffee tones the gold down a bit so it looks less "yellow" like a lot of other goldd. I think a pure mix of the two would actually make a perfect gold. But the dual works too. I print 65 bed. 205. No issues. A little stringy since the humidity where I live has went up. But it's still less than my other silks right now so I would say it's better on that than most other brands. I saw this color combo in a YouTube video and thought I'd give it a try. It's definitely a favorite. Here is a pic of the Harry Potter golden egg (free model on makerworld) with this gold. I just can't think of a better word than it looks "creamy". ... show more
