These traps replaced the umbrella shaped ones we used previously. These are Better since they fold flat when not in use. Also the zipper goes all the way around to reach in to grab any little bait fish caught in it. The only thing that is an issue is that it is fabric. Small catfish or other barbed fish get tangled badly and sometimes rip the netting. It can be repaired by a quick stitch or two. No a deal breaker. Nice little nets. ... show more

    • Worked awesome, but heads up!!!
Awesome product, priced good, folds up small, fits in my quad storage, and caught me 13 usable shiners first try (chopped up hotdogs for bait) BUT ..... Dropped it in a tiny pond, left it over night (my first mistake, few hours would have been plenty), returned reap the benefits, pulled the trap out, and chuck full of shiners, but also turtles, like 6 of them, three dead, cause I submerged the trap without considering the turtle factor. Should have kept like a 1/3 of the trap above water, and m didn't need to leave overnight. Killing me i didn't think of that, being a catch and release, don't disturb nature kinda guy. SO .... LESSON LEARNED, and just want to put my own stupid move out there as a heads up. I might shrink net entry holes a bit too!!! Extremely important to me this never happens again, almost cried.... ughhh! ... show more
