    • This safe is NOT fire or water proof.

This safe is neither fire or water proof. The safe does not have any thermal insulation. There is no insulated or water proof stripping around door. And there are mounting holes in back and bottom of enclosure, nothing included with the product to mitigate these openings. All of which deter from water or fire protection. The fireproof bad closes with a simple plastic zipper. I question its ability to protect against high heat, let alone fire. The first safe we received was damaged and missing components. I assumed it was a returned product and someone had attempted to cover up the damage with flat black paint, over the original semi-gloss. A second safe was sent out and it was nearly as bad. Poor storage or packaging seems to be the cause. No external damage to the box so you have to wonder. The big issue here is the complete lack of any level of heat or water mitigation. This safe is NOT fire or water proof. The description isn't misleading, its an outright lie. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! ... show more
