The seat cushion vibrates, which is very soothing. The back goes up and down the back with optional heat. You can pause it in one specific location. The neck cushion can be raised or lowered according to where you need it with optional heat. If you are in a lot of pain, I suggest to fold a blanket and put it between you and the back cushion. My Zyllion massage chair arrived on-time and in excellent condition. The operating instructions were simple and straightforward. My only issue is that this company uses the term "3D" differently than other sellers. In Zyllion's case, it does NOT refer to massage intensity (pressure). The intensity might be too powerful for some users. For me, despite enjoying a strong massage, this unit is borderline too strong. Pros: - quality seems good - low-back coverage is better than other brands - neck/shoulder section is adjustable for user height - strong pressure (if you like that) - lightweight compared to other brands - quiet - seat cushion vibrates Cons: - strong pressure (if you do not like that) - cannot adjust intensity - can't rest head back comfortably - labeling on remote control will be difficult for many over 40 to read (I need a magnifying glass) As I've just begun to use the device, I can't speak to longterm quality. I can't believe it actually works for different height people! I have several slipped & bulging discs in my neck & back. If I don't get regular massaging, they get super tight and/or lock up. I have tried 2 other back massagers like this one (similar pricing) that said they adjust to taller individuals but they didn't. This one truly does! Not only does it adjust for the correct neck height but it's the deep tissue massage that I've been needing! There are so many options too... all of the back, just upper back, just lower back with or without heat, just the seat with 3 different levels of seat vibration, deep neck massage that can not only be adjusted by height but also can be reversed for best use on different muscle groups. The attached remote is easy to work. Oh, and it can also spot massage anywhere on your back that you choose. I truly love this!! When I ordered this I wasn't sure if I would be able to keep this on my chair when I was not using it and the answer to that is no. The massage balls in both the back and the neck are no small things and they don't really rest anywhere comfortable enough when it's turned off to sit on normally. That being said it's great at what its supposed to do which is provide a roving massage that really gets into your back, and does it ever get into your back. This massager is relaxing to use, but if you're like me and need something that is powerful on the back to get out knots, then this isn't the greatest. The neck massager is nice but it seems like it pushes your upper body away from the back rest a bit so the back massager can't reach deep knots. The back massager also only has two speed settings and it seems like it needs a third speed that's faster. Also the spot massage moves weird on the track and it feels like it only does half of a rotation and then goes back the other way so it's not great and getting a targeted area. It has a long pause as it switches directions on spot massage so it feels really slow. It seems like you have to get it in just the right spot and then position your body just right for it to work decent in a targeted area. The vibration would be better if it was on the back but since it's only on the bottom it just makes my legs and backside feel weird and itch. You can change the rotation on the neck massager which is nice. My favorite thing about this product is how low the back massager gets on the lower back. It's gets down to the top of my buttocks which is nice for lower back pain. Since the lower back isn't being pushed away by another part of the massager, like how the neck massager effects the strength of the upper back portion, it is relatively strong on the lower portion. If the entire back massager had the same pressure as the lower end and the spot massage was better, this would be a five star product. But for the price and the lack of strength on the upper back I give it 3 stars relative to what I needed. I had a back massager a few years ago that was less than half of the price of this one that worked much better for me because of how much it dug into my knots. With that being said, my old one was painful to some people. So I guess it all depends on your needs and tolerance to the pressure. This massager is very relaxing and I have even fallen asleep sitting on it because of that. But for my needs this just isn't quite right. I opted for a more expensive model like this one hoping it would do wonders on my back but I am a bit disappointed. For someone that just wants a nice relaxing massage this would probably be great, but at this price point, I still wouldn't recommend it. I feel like even if you don't need the strength that I do, this is pricey and you could find one that fits your needs for cheaper. But once again, I've never found one that gets as low as this one on the lower back which helps with lower back pain. So that's the only major plus side. One more thing, this needs to be in a chair that reclines back at least a bit. I tried putting it on a dining chair that is straight up and it wasn't comfortable at all. The neck massager pushed my body too far away from the back massager with it straight up and was hardly hitting my back at all. ... show more
