Hi, I am always looking at Kulay products, I 1st discovered their Lemon and Lime hand squeezer and Felt like this one won't break like the other 2 I had before Investing in a Better Quality one. Same goes with the Garlic press. I sqeeze about 1 clove at a time and use a Knife to cut/scrape garlic from press. I had broke my other press and well, again, looked for a Quality one to replace so Knew to Check out Zulays. The color options of the press were inspiring and I decided to go ahead and upgrade my cheese sliver to match. Same with thr presses, the slicer is made well and has replacement parts included so if wire gets loos or bent easy simple swap and adjust to size, all simple and practical. Yay! I used this garlic press twice on the first day I got it and I love it! I can put huge cloves in the bowl and they mash down perfectly and easily, juice and pulp go right through the grid. The garlic seems to exude much more aroma and flavor through the press than just mincing on a cutting board, plus you get to take advantage of all the juices as opposed to losing them on a board. Seems like a very nice garlic press. Easy to handle for my hands. I had one that broke the 1st time I used it and another I could not use with my hand as it was too big and needed a lot of force that my husband had to press it. Received my new ZULAY Garlic Press today from Amazon. I'm super excited about it! It appears very well built, solid steel construction. What it has that I absolutely love are the tines that push the garlic through the mincing holes. My prior press didn't have that feature. So I'm stoked and can't wait to try it. It's small. It holds an average of 1 garlic clove. When I tried to put 2 cloves at once, the part that has the teeth which actually moves it hit the edge I could only avoid this by adding one clove of garlic at once, so when I press, there was no touching of metals to the side edges. Over the years (OK, decades) I've tried several garlic presses. and this one works the best of any I've found. It's rather small, and some of the garlic remains in the "cup," but the minced stuff comes out actually minced, not pulverized, and it's pretty easy to push through. (Had to scrape it off the outside with a knife.) It's easy enough to knife-finish mincing the part that didn't go through the holes. Certainly WAY faster (for me, an adept home cook with no pro culinary training) than hand-mincing all of it with a knife! Fairly easy to clean (by hand, under running water; no dishwasher here), as long as it's cleaned right after use. Best part: Not having to fiddle with getting the peels off!!! That's the part I've always loathed about using garlic (and I insist on using fresh.) . The silicone tube that comes with the press gets those skins RIGHT off! TEN stars and some pretty major jig-dancing about that!!!! Oddly, the "rubber" parts of the handles are on the inside of the handles. (??!) Maybe move those to the outside, for better grip? For fun, tried using it on some ginger, too. Didn't work as well for that, leaving a perforated "pancake" of ginger inside the cup. Still, it'll be faster to finish hand-mincing that, than to do it all by hand. I'll continue to use a knife for regular garlic chopping. But for fine-mincing, I'll use this gizmo. And that peel-buster: HALLELUJAH!!!! ... show more

This Garlic press fits in my hand well and I don't have to have hands of steel to use the press. It's very comfortable and easy to get the garlic out one you press it out. I really appreciate how the skin stays in the cup well and you just have to lift it out. It's a keeper!

Over the past few years I've gotten into canning food more and more. Also, I have a pretty good sized garden so when it's time to harvest it's very busy at my house. My old press died after many years so needed another one to get garlic for sauces and relishes etc done. So far this one is a good choice.
