This cover fits perfect and is easy to install. Unit has multiple angles at which it can be set and is easy to adjust because it is held by magnets. Has a pencil holder on side that allows pencil to charge that also prevents pencil from falling out. Unit contains a second pencil holder of mesh on rear to store pencil. Cover allows direct access to volume, home, charging and speakers. Also provides a medium level of protection and wakes up iPad when cover is open and put iPad to sleep when cover is closed. ... show more

I did not pre-order, because you never know how a new product is going to be. To be honest, I was worried about how Zugu would handle the thinner form factor. But this case has surpassed my expectations. I have had this case for years on my old 2018 iPP. The key improvements and issues include: The opener tab is much more sturdy than in years past. Historically it was weak and tended to fray and weaken over time. The tab also has a recessed fit into the case when closed, which provides for a solid feel and als a nice thumb rest when using the ipad with it open. The fit is really perfect, all the way around - not just the cutouts, but everything is clean and solid. The buttons work just fine. The Apple pencil well is deeper than in years previous, and also allows for the pencil to fit in either way. However, I am still dubious about keeping it magnetically mounted when traveling. The "sleeve" for the pencil on the back is sturdy, but I think still the same material as previous versions. Over the course of a couple of years, I expect that it will loosen a bit. It is not ideal for the pencil to be in a pouch on the back, as it doesn't allow the the case to lay flat on a table (on that side). However, the geometry of the case is well designed, so that when open and in "tent mode", that side of the tablet is never face down. The USB C charging / data port has a nice cutout that will accept wider cables. Overall, this case is worth the money and I have tried many cases over the years. This is my first Zugu case purchase for my first iPad. So, I can only comment on this particular case, and can’t make any comparisons with other iPad/tablet cases. The cutouts for the speakers and the charging port line up perfectly. The underside of the front flap has a rubbery texture to it and I don’t feel like it would damage the screen in anyway. The front flap does not detach when iPad is held upside down (strong magnets). The flap closes evenly (not at an angle) and completely covers the screen. The case enclosing the iPad seems very durable. While I have not dropped my iPad with the case, I foresee the hard plastic casing to offer substantial protection. The power button and the volume up/down buttons are easy to press. I appreciate the two separate places the case offers to store the Apple pencil. The pencil does not slide off easily in either position. The magnets at the back for securing the iPad onto the fridge are weak. The iPad immediately started to slide down the fridge when I tested this feature. This is fine by me as I have absolutely no intention of sticking the iPad onto the fridge. I mainly use this iPad for media consumption while lying down in bed. The stand of this case is sturdy for that purpose and I haven’t had any issues with stability. The case is pretty heavy, weighing over a pound. But, clearly, this is a very well built case and I feel very comfortable with the protection it offers. While I expect this case to be durable based on its structure and sturdiness, I cannot comment on it as I have not had this case for a long time. Nevertheless, I highly recommend this purchase, despite its hefty cost. ... show more
