I first bought this for my iPad 12.9 estimating 2-3 yrs ago? LOVED it and waited for the 10.5 to come out, (hoping it would) and it indeed did. I was late getting it from release date, but glad I finally took time in a busy day and checked to find it had. There truly is NOTHING better on the market!! Hands down! (And no I am in no way associated with the guy who makes these, Im just a clinical director for a non profit outpatient, and I have the same needs as each of you! PRO's - Slim and fits in everything I've attempted to slide it in. - Provides GREAT protection, never have had a single issue. -Fits "Perfectly" snug, all buttons are accessible, simply not a single issue - Easy to access your Apple Pencil, which in all the yrs of my use with the 12.9 I can attest that the elastic does NOT ever wear down and loosen its snug fit to support your pencil. Perfect again! - The outer case (I bought both of mine in the color "Red", have never faded at all. Im around yr 2 or 3 yrs old with the 12.9 and its made "exactly" from same material, so its worth mentioning both sizes here. - LOVE using for watching Youtube Video's, Prime Movies, or streaming TV, Netflix etc. I do this from a hospital table like table that comes over the bed so I can just stream and lay back and watch. I also do it from a regular table in front of my Recliner. - Perfect for NOTE TAKING, and PHOTO Editing apps....the back allows YOU to truly pick the angle that works best for your "Individual" preferences...and it is VERY secure! I SO WISH the guy would make these for iPhone Max 11 Pro's! Id be all set! - No issues with using Glass Screen Protector CON: If you want to call this a Con. I do not. I see the upside on this. YES it does have a LOT of dirt getting collected on the inside felt cover that FACES your screen! I'd rather it grab it up, than my screen being scratched by this grub! I believe that may not have been the intention, it was to simply protect the screen. But when you SEE all the crud that gets on that felt, ask yourself this.... Would you rather it be all on your screen lose and moving around, scratching it or grabbed by the felt and not moving around, getting into crevasse and or scratching it up? I use scotch tape strips and clean it off regularly, and it returns to the Like New condition! It is absolutely as it was the day I bought the 12.9 and the 10.5 being made "exactly' the same, will do exactly the same. Use the tape, keep it cleaned off, let it do its job! Hope this review helps! I can't think of a single product I have "ever" bought that does its job any better than these are designed to do! And that is saying something! This case is absolutely worth every single penny and I couldn’t recommend it more. I absolutely LOVE the fact there are so many “channels” for the lid stand to fit in to adjust the screen angle - regardless of whether you’ve got it sitting on the table, counter, lap, or lying down all of the adjusting channels accommodate it to give the optimal viewing position. The iPad fits securely in in it, the case itself is VERY durable, and… well… it’s passed the “me test” over and over and over again. I don’t know how many times I’ve dropped or knocked this to the floor with my iPad inside and not once have I worried about breaking or damaging either. It’s comfortable to hold and is adequately textured so it not slippery. The magnet is strong so the lid closes easily and immediately puts the iPad in sleep mode. With time it has not deteriorated and the lid has not been knocked out of alignment. The kick stand is every bit as stable now as the day I first purchased it and I use my iPad daily. Honestly, since purchasing I don’t have a single complaint save one: there’s no holder for a stylus. And that’s a pretty weak complaint as I rarely use them anyway but am sure others do so if that REALLY matters to you, that’s the only thing worth considering. That’s it. I have had three generations of iPad and with them many, many different cases. Some cheap, some mid range. I've lost count of how many. I use my iPad every day, many times a day. Many a case has not survived even a year. The plastic starts to crack, the materials start to peel. Mostly to watch videos or read, in my room. And the occasional travel by plane. People, I'm by no means putting these things through a war zone or something. Needless to say, I know a good case when I see it, simply because many just don't make the cut. This is by far, the best case I've had, so far. It ticks all the boxes. It's good looking, it's easy to put on and remove, it protects the corners of the device in case of drops, and the strength of the magnet is the stuff of legends. My favorite thing is that the iPad is encased when it closes, as opposed to the screen flap coming all the way to the edges. It means your iPad won't get dirty or accidentally awaken when you put it on your bag. I have had this for several months and the thing I find that really sets this baby apart from others is all the reclining angles. The most comfortable and best I've seen of any case I've previously had. If you put your iPad on your lap frequently to type or read. Or to watch videos while laying horizontally in bed or the couch, get this case. Not only does it give you a great angle for viewing the screen while laying down, but the magnet is strong enough that the weight of the screen won't let the iPad topple forward and fall on your face. We've all been there, don't lie. As for the negatives.. I'm actually not super confident in the durability of the inner fabric. It's a sort of fine suede with a stamped logo (the branding is kinda ugly, but you can't really see it since it's at the bottom all the time when open, or inside when closed). In my experience, this sort of material eventually will start to peel off or bubble. Which would really be a shame since this case was so expensive. I also wish there was one more recline slot to make the screen near upright and hope the designer considers this for the next version of the case. Overall, I give this case five stars because it's beautiful, easy to put on and off, it protects the ipad, it's well designed and it's extremely practical. I think it is worth the investment. However of course, I will come back at a later time and amend the review if I find any issues with the material. Update on Dec 2022: I still own this case and use it every day. However in the past six months the exterior fabric has begun to peel and flake off around the hinge area. The fabric on top of the cover has also begun to separate from the backing around the edges. The plastic components have not been compromised and remain sturdy, no cracking. The inner suede-ish fabric I predicted might come off eventually is surprisingly still standing strong. It catches every speck of dust and pet hair though which is annoying. The magnet has remained strong. And the case has saved my iPad a few times I’ve accidentally dropped it. Unfortunately I think the choice of material for the hinge of this makes it so it’s inevitable it will start to flake eventually. ... show more
