Good system overall Installation was easy and pretty much plug-and-play, but there are also many different settings that can be changed if you like. I bought the system in April of 2022 but was unable to install it until November of that year. the system fired right up and worked great for the first 9 months, in July of 2023 I had 3 cameras fail, possibly due to the extreme Texas heat. I contacted Zosi Customer Service and got a response within a few hours from a very helpful person named Slina. technically I was out outside of the 1 year warranty but after explaining I hadn't installed the cameras right away and had only been in use for 9 months, they were willing to help. 3 new cameras arrived a few days later, I swapped them out and sent the old ones back. The hardware was easy to connect and is reliable with good resolution. I wanted a system that provided the ability to record 24/7 with activity alerts. The problem is the software, including the system software, the mobile phone app, the desktop app, and the Alexa skill. First, the system software (preinstalled on the NVR) is tedious and not intuitive. Is not obvious where the various functions are located they are not grouped logically. Second, the mobile phone app is equally non-intuitive. It took a week to get push notifications to work with help from tech support. It required two NVR software upgrades to get the push notifications to work. Third, the desktop app is not consistent in layout or function with the NVR s/w or phone app. It is equally difficult to navigate and has limited functionality. Finally, the Alexa skill does not work. According to tech support, the Zosi skill is not designed to work with this system, so there is no Alexa integration at all. Not of software makes it particularly easy to review alerts - all menus and timeline contain different information (you see one thing in the system software, something different on the phone app, and something different on the desktop app). I gave the product 4 starts because it does work well for the price in spite of the software limitations. Would I buy it again? Not sure. ... show more

These cameras work great for our application. They are a little fragile until you get them installed, you definitely do not want to drop one, we did and the lens cracked but that was OUR fault. They are well made, metal casing, nice long cables to attach to the system, the infra red works unbelievably well. You have several options on how you can adjust these and the detail they pick up in 1080P HD mode is unbelievable. We have 2 monitoring our wood shop and when we saw wood in there, you can see every tiny piece of particulate the dust collector misses. These are so detailed, it helped us dial in our dust collection system even tighter. With the Zosi system, you can watch your security on the system in the building, on your PC at home and even on your cell phone. As with anything that has a slight degree of complexity, it is recommended to READ THE DIRECTIONS maybe even twice, if you do, installation is a snap. The hardest part of install is just running the cables and customer service is great, they were very responsive to the few questions we had and they have several really helpful video's on their site that walk you through all of the options and functions. ... show more

Updating review!!!!!! Do Not Buy!!!!!!!!! Support is more confusing then a help, to many choices & complecated, i can walk past cameras fast enough & will not record you, way to many missed shots, & still shots do not work. Can not get it to work & NO SOUND!!!! Buy a CasaCam much better & easier product to work with.Will update review later. So far not to impressed. Can not get phone app to hook up, can't get audio volume to go up so I can hear the video, lights are coming on when they shouldn't, 1 camera keeps going out & I have to unplug & plug back in everyday, instructions just plan suck!!!!!!!!!!, gets way to many non important motions it records, no way of fine tuning motion detection, & many more issues, & no way to buy longer warranty. DON'T BUY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Will contact customer support & hope they can help or whole thing will be sent back. ... show more

    • I bought this to replace one that has began to sweat inside the lens.

My camera system is about 3 yrs old now and it came with 8 cameras. I have one on the north corner of my building that never really gets any sun to dry it out. The lens went foggy inside and it blurred the image, so I bought this one to replace it. I'll replace it and see if I can take the old one apart to clean it and keep as a spare. The other 7 cameras are still going strong. UPDATE: I replaced the old camera with the new one and the picture is perfect again. I took the old camera apart, it's easy to do. The front lens just screws off. I cleaned the fog off the inside of the protective lens and the picture is perfect again. So now I have a spare. If someone has this camera with a sweat problem I advise you to take it apart and clean it before you order a new one. You don't even have to take it off the wall, just unscrew the lens counterclockwise to take it apart and clean the inside and screw it back on. ... show more
