Got this bed for my 5 and 3 year old. Was hesitant about a bunk bed for kids this young, but this bed was perfect. The kids have enough space in the bottom , but o can make the bed on the top. Definitely a 2 person job. Thankfully we had a drill with the Allen wrench bits cause my hand was tired after 1 headboard. Some of the holes don’t line up so we are a little worried that may cause stress on the wood over time. Overall it was easy to follow the instructions and seems to be sturdy. Low bunks are great! Instructions could be better if they showed which side should face outward on the ladder side concerning the screw holes. It is a two person setup but not difficult. Be careful when assembling paint can scratch easily. Sturdier then most and is secured with lots of screws. Good purchase and would definitely recommend. Only cosmetic drawback is they should include white circle stickers to cover up the screw holes and the extra holes they provide depending the side you choose to place the ladder. ... show more

The top bunk is perfect for my older child, and the bottom bunk is perfect for my not-yet-walking one year old to crawl in and out of at her leisure for bed and nap time. This is definitely not a bunkbed it's more like a loft bed. What they call bottom bunk is just an empty space with no slates of any kind. There isn't even a lip on the boards to place slates. There is barely any head space from the bottom to the top bunk. If I would have realized that I would just be putting a mattress on the floor and call it a bunkbed I definitely wouldn't have bought this! It's a big zero star for me. ... show more
