Looks better than the pictures in real life. When closed, it has a slender look that rivals far more expensive ones. Plus, there are tons of pockets, the bag fits a 16 inch laptop and far exceeds my expectations. The laptop is stored in the back compartment that also has many pockets in it. If you're concerned about theft, you can leave your more personal items back here and it would be very, very difficult to take them from you. I'm not sure if it's waterproof, but it's gotten lightly wet with no signs of damage once it's dried. All my contents were also protected. The fact that it is expandable makes this bag better than all other's i've seen. It is worth the 10-15 dollar price premium over the other slender bags I've seen on Amazon. You can take it to work and keep it slim. Or when traveling, if you need extra room, it expands. Extremely versatile bag. The front looks sleek while carrying laptop and while in fully expanded mode. Easy to handle. Accommodated a 17 inch laptop and 13 inch laptop easily in compact mode. I literally tried DOZENS of black backpacks before happily discovering this one. I need to tote my laptop back and forth to work, for work at home days. My commute involves a bike ride, a train ride, and a shuttle bus ride. Sometimes, it's just train and bus and shuttle. I am not a backpack person, but I realized that was the most practical bag for all these modes of transport, and carrying all my stuff easily and securely. So..... I wanted a backpack so I can lug all my stuff easily, quickly and securely on the CTA, but also look sleek and Euro, and not like I was pregnant on my back. When I'm biking, I need it to fit a laptop, sometimes a jacket and a change of clothing, and my lunch, maybe an add'l pair of shoes and my giant headphones. This backpack accommodates that nicely, with a secret compression sleeve area for clothes, and an expandable gusset! Other days, when I'm not biking or taking my laptop home, it zips down to thin and sleek. The style of this is very nice, and NO VISIBLE LOGOS. Lots of pockets - it'll be useful as a carry on for trips as well. Nice water bottle gusset pocket, and the USB port is also very useful! This pack is sleek and well made. The zips are smooth and the interior is very accessible with plenty of divisions. I use it in the slim configuration as my office laptop case with plenty of room for my 15” MacBook Pro, keyboard, mouse, charger, Moleskin and over-the-ear headphones. I love it!

All haversacks tend to be clumsy, out of shape and seriously restrictive when trying to move around. When you have to turn , you have to make sure you don't hit anything or anyone. Also when you pack , everything heavy collects at the bottom. This item is good because its slim, expendable only when you so require, and there are loads of compartments that make sense. There is even a compartment that rests against your back that is hidden - great for valuables. No regrets. Great bag. Service good. Fast. I watched the videos and spent a lot of time contemplating this item before buying. When I finally decided to buy and it was delivered, I was thrilled. It is as slim and as sturdy as promised, and smooth (unwrinkled). I mostly use it for just my laptop and charger and basic necessities --water bottle, hair brush, glasses, wallet, they all fit in without even ruffling the surface in slim-mode, keeping that light, clean, professional look I wanted. But there is a TON of room in it when expanded, enough for an overnight, clothes, etc. The thing I like best is the backpack feels sturdy and keeps its shape in any form. I was looking for something that would continue to look professional if I took it on an overnight, and then used it just for my laptop to go to meetings, etc. I didn't want it to look stretched-out, baggy, worn. For the low cost of this bag, I didn’t have high expectations. But I would recommend this bag to anyone that is carrying computers and tablet with a few accessories. Unzipped, it has a surprising amount of space, but the best feature of the bag is when you can keep it zipped and thin. Even then, I can fit a MacBook, mouse, 2 iPads, small chargers, pens, glasses case, and cables neatly and well organized while still having a bag that is half the depth of my other backpacks. ... show more

The zipper moves smoothly. I walk about 2.5 miles a day with it. The straps fall comfortably on my shoulders. I bought it because of the airflow design on the back and its slim profile. It expands enough to be able to put my jacket or coat in it in the afternoon. Love it. Down graded from 5 stars to 3stars. I still like it but the PU leather has started to peal back at the corners. It would be excellent with just the canvas and no PU. I can’t find anything similar. I do like the chest strap. The expandable feature allows me to get off the bus at the grocery store, pick up a six pack of beer and then get back on my way. The straps are comfortable. The purple doesn’t absorb heat in the summer like a black one. Wish they’d make on with just the canvass. I do love it. Right now I’m looking for one that’s more durable, light in color, expandable, and has a chest strap. ... show more
