  • Rockwool Cubes with Net Pots: Package comes with 72pcs 1in plugs rockwool cubes, 50pcs 2in net cups, 50pcs 10in article self watering cotton wick cord. This kit can help you to do soilless cultivation very well.
  • Premium Material: Our rock wool planting cubes are made of premium basaltock inorganic fiber, and compressed into blocks through proprietary process. It's soft and even texture, good water absorption and strong air permeability, which is the best substrate material for soilless cultivation.
  • Easy to Transplant: Rockwool grow cubes keep the seeds long enough to establish a root system because of they have high water absorption while retain a lot of oxygen. This 1 in square rock wool block can hold its shape well without falling apart, making it easy to transplant.
  • Slotted Design: These net pots for hydroponics with holes at the bottom produces healthy roots with even drainage, allowing the roots to grow in their own way, passing through the net cup and emerging from the side to form larger and healthier roots.
  • Easy to Use: Cut off several pieces of rock wool with scissors, soak them briefly in nutrient solution for about 10 seconds, and adjust their EC and pH values to the required range for the seeds. The optimal pH for most plant seeds is about 5.5. Then control appropriate moisture, light, and temperature, when the root grows more than 1" beyond the rockwool, it's time to transplant then into new home.

Great product

  • Net Pots are 1.5" not the advertised 2" size
Overall everything looked great however the net pots are 1 1/2" and not 2" size as the description states. If you have two inch holes in your growing system, they will fall through the holes. If you are building a new system and want to use these, drill 1 1/2" holes and you should be okay.

  • Right fit
Yes I know you want the right light blockage to the right zone so yes it is suppose to be a tight fit. But if I can't get the cube down to the wick at the bottom of the provided net cups without compromising the structure of the rockwool. But the lettuce has popped. All of them.

  • Good kit; working on fit
I was hoping I'd be able to use my Kratky mason jar lid inserts with these, but the holes are slightly too small. If I were to take a knife to them and cut off to the outside of the Aerogarden-style notches, they would work. So now I'm trying to come up with something else to make my own lid inserts. The Aerogarden baskets are too small for what I need (growing out alpine strawberries for ultimate transplanting outside), and these will be just right. Just need to find something to seat them in. The rock wool is going to be a lot better than those easily molding peat-style pods. ... show more

  • These are great for sprouting seeds
These are so awesome for sprouting seeds. I’m using them in conjunction with my existing aquaponics setup and have sprouted seeds I got from those small bell peppers from Costco. They are small in size so it’s mainly for seed sprouting as you can see my romaine lettuce containers are much bigger and even those aren’t very big. However, with the combo of the rock wool and containers they do a good job of keeping everything moist and allow roots to grow through to the bottom. I’ll be growing a lot more vegetables from the market with these. ... show more

  • perfect for hydroponic tower
We 3d printed a hydroponic tower and needed a medium for our plants to grow in. We dont actually use the net cups in this set, but the rockwool is perfect for our cuttings to start growing in.

  • Great set to get seedlings going without the mess
I'm really hoping that the days of messy starter cubes are over. This kit, while made for hydroponics, is great to start tomato plants and other seedlings. The rockwool cubes fit snugly into the plastic cages. The water wick is meant to hang below and the wicking power of the rockwool keeps the roots bathed in water. The kit comes ready to go. Rockwool is made like cotton candy but instead of sugar melting, it's rock that is melted and then spun into the fine wool. I really like this kit. Well put together. ... show more

  • Good Starter Kit for Hydroponics/Aquaponics
This is a pretty good starter kit for someone wanting to get started in aquaponics or hydroponics. It includes rockwool cubes (the grow medium), and the small net cups to put the seeded rockwool in. Once you get going, and feel comfortable, you can expand your setup with larger cups. The price on this is a bit lower than many other similar sets, which is a bonus! Kratky method, here I come! ... show more
