After receiving the product I began to follow the directions to begin using, the first requirement is to download the app to your phone. I downloaded the app on my phone, and then came the list of permissions it requires of you. I am NOT giving the app all of the permission this app requires. Therefore, I can't use the product. I loved the idea that this scale not only gave me my weight, but also measured nine other health-related body measurements ("Body Fat, BMI, Muscle, Hydration, Bone mass and More.") I loved that it worked with my I-Phone and with MyFitnessPal. My husband loved these features, as well. What we really didn't love was that it couldn't tell which of us to sync with, so that his weight kept replacing mine and vice versa. What we didn't love was that it was not correct. AND, more than anything, what we didn't love was that they don't offer support, or accept returns. NOT COOL! in addition, three plus years later, in December 2021, they offered us our money back if we would "fix" the review. And then, didn't refund the money we spent. Four times, increasing the bribe by $5 each time, the latest being this morning. WAY TO GO, Yunmai!!! ... show more

DO NOT BUY! I have had this scale since 2017 and loved it. The app was great and east to track my weight loss goals. However, they recently updated the app and deleted all my data, along with years of data for thousands of other users. The new app has connectivity issues with the scale. It forces you to register an account. It also lost many of the previous tracking features (which, after losing years of data, it just annoying). I want to return this since it no longer does what I want it to do, and they destroyed all my data. ... show more

Because I like the Yunmai scales, I’m going to the trouble of commenting on the inadequacy of your User’s Guide. I suspect you seriously underestimate your customers’ level of sophistication and knowledge, especially regarding health issues. They generally will be tech-savvy. So, I'm confident it would help your sales and the value of our brand if you gave more attention to a couple of areas – at minimal expense. For example: 1. User’s Guide Your “User Guide” really needs an experienced editor to rewrite it. It would be a relatively small, inexpensive job. But it would add great value to your product. Even I, at 83 years old, expect even a 20-page guide to be well organized with efficient hypertext links, including a hyperlinked table of contents, and other navigational aids. Your guide even fails to use Acrobat’s Bookmarks feature to create a useful table of contents – especially when the document is well-organized and has headings. (Because you did not lock your document, requiring a password, I added such a Bookmarks table of contents for my use in a few minutes.) It does not even have page numbers. It looks like it was just copied from the “Quick Start” information that was included with the scales. Most of your customers are in a hurry. Your guide requires them to page through many pages and read the entire guide to find what they want. And It obviously has not been copyedited. For example, on page 19, it has asterisks after three items, usually indicating there will be an explanation in a footnote, but there is no footnote. And there is a reference to an appendix that does not exist. Incidentally, I figured out what you meant, but these editorial problems are unnecessarily disruptive to the reader. Generally, a guide like this should consist of relatively short sections, each covering one subject, which is reflected in the section’s heading. A guide usually is most efficient if it is organized transitionally – e.g., more or less in the order the reader needs the information. The table of contents can be generated from these headings. FAQs are often overused, and too many of them do not provide efficient access to the information the reader wants. Guides may frequently cover some of this information more concisely in a “Troubleshooting” table. 2. More information explaining the numbers the scales report: It would be especially helpful to your customers to explain in more detail the meaning each of these 10 items the scales reports and how it might be relevant to their health issues. I would even be satisfied with a link to the Internet for more information on each item. To most of us, at least the “healthy range” would be useful. I realize this would require more effort than just cleaning up your User Guide. ... show more

After one year using this scale I can resume the performance in the following : 1. Weigh measurement is pretty accurate but the rest of the measurements are unreliable, not to mention that they do not nearly resemble those taken by a professional ( specifically body fat and muscle ) 2. Batteries will drain completely in less than a week. There is no way to disable bluetooth signals. 3. The app will send who knows what info to a Chinese corporation. No way to disable sending YOUR DATA for whatever reason they are taking it, unless you put a firewall in your phone. ... show more

I wasn't sure about buying this as I had been referred to another brand. But after reading bad reviews on that brand, and it being significantly more expensive, I went with this. Glad I did. It did take a little while to get it set up correctly, but now it works great with the app. It also updates my iPhone Health and another weight tracking app that I was using before I got this scale and I didn't want to lose that data. All I do in the morning when I strip off for my shower is open the app and step on the scale. The phone is by the sink about 4 feet away and it works just fine. It measures my weight only 0.1 different from my doctor's scale so I am quite pleased with the accuracy. Something else I like about this scale as opposed to my original scale is that it takes common AAA batteries. With my old scale it was always a scavenger hunt to find the right batteries, and often I ended up having to order them online for $15. I don't pay attention to the body fat readings and all so cannot give any feedback on that. Maybe when I am closer to my goal it will be more important to me. If I had any criticism it is with the app which is very basic compared to my other weight app. It does have graphs and a few other features, but they are too rudimentary to really be useful. ... show more
