I got these for my two guinea pigs for overnight since they pee nonstop and lay in their urine. I was hoping I could use these in their little house for overnight and it would do a better job at absorbing but unfortunately it was soaked the next morning and so disgusting I threw away.

Buyer beware. Do Not Buy These!!!!!!!!! We have two Guinea pigs, and bought this because of the 5 star ratings. We had to change the pads daily. We actually had to buy a second pair because they get so wet after one day and begin to smell really Bad. Also the Guinea pigs feet were getting cold due to the urine that did not dry up in their cage. Such an awful product. Do Not Buy! These liners are perfect they wash easily and they absorb all the pee from my two piggies. They are easy to dry as well and the backing is still intact no tearing or shedding. Very easy to sweep away the hay and poops with a small brush .

I dislike everything about this product for my hedgehog and wish I could give 0 stars. For those that have hedgehogs, you know that their eyes naturally protrude a little. For context, I have not changed a single thing about his environment in months and this is the only thing I’ve changed. It arrived and smelled horrific, so I made sure to wash it before putting it in his cage. In less than 24 hours, I find him with his eye scratched out of his head due to some type of irritant. I did not immediately think of the mat, because I thought it was safe. One emergency enucleation (eye removal) later and I have a one eyed hedgehog. I just figured out that it was the mat, because now his other eye is having issues and I am having to administer more medication to his only eye. There is something in this mat that caused a bad reaction of some sort to my hedgehog and I believe that it could harm other hedgies as well. If you want this for your hedgehog, buy it at your own risk and keep an eye on them. This was a terrifying and horrible experience and I will NEVER purchase anything like this again out of fear. Enucleations are very expensive and my poor baby could potentially become blind in his other eye if it doesn’t get better, or could possibly need a second enucleation. ... show more

I have 1 tiny baby GP and she can wet this thing up in 2 days and it reeks. Also, the material stays wet on the surface and leaks through to the back. I thought I'd try these as a cheap alternative to Guineadad liners but there is no comparison.

These pads are very thin and they don’t absorb much pet pee. I have others from GuineaDad that cost more but they do absorb much more and trap the pee smell while these do very little and have to be changed much more quickly. So it’s kind of a you get what you pay for situation.

These have completely changed the way that I feel about having guinea pigs and are worth every.single.penny. I switched from cage liners and fleece blankets to these and they are so much more convenient and easy to clean. I fold the sides in, put it into a garbage bag and shake it clean before washing. The product is just as descirbed. I have one piggy at the moment, and I use these pads over the basic liner. I spot clean them twice a day. They seem to dry from the pee in less than an hour (more like 20 minutes). I change them every three-four days. I don't follow the washing insturctions - I use 90 degrees cycle, but they seem to be OK with it. I let them air dry and they dry out quickly. The fabric has a specific direction (if that's the right term for it..), so when you're spot cleaning - just make sure you brush to the correct side, otherwise stuff won't come off of it quite as well. ... show more
