This is my first wool duvet, I've normally used down feather duvets in the past. I wanted to try the wool duvet because the down feathers tend to get too warm for me during this time of the year. I'm really liking this wool duvet so far. It's got a nice weight to it without being too heavy or too light. The cotton shell is soft and seems well made, and the wool stuffing also feels soft. It keeps me warm when my air conditioner kicks on while not making me sweat when the air conditioner turns off. I haven't been able to try it during the winter yet, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't keep me warm all winter. The washing instructions were not very detailed so I decided to play it safe and use a special detergent for wool. I also tumble dried it with no heat for a while then I laid it flat on the bed to finish drying. It came out looking brand new, and the wool stayed evenly spread out without bunching. I don't really care for the large label that is sown into the bottom corner, but it's not a big annoyance since I use a duvet cover. I'm afraid I'll mess up the stitching if I try to remove the label. I also don't understand the point of the little zipper that allows you to look inside of one of the duvet squares since there is a liner between the wool and the cotton so all I can see/feel when I open the zipper is the liner. The liner appears to be made of cotton and it's obliviously there to hold the wool in place. Another review mentioned that the liner may be a polyester or some other synthetic martial, but I'm thinking it has to be cotton or another type of natural material since the duvet is able to breathe a little and does not cause me to overheat like synthetic materials do. The only cons I've noticed so far when comparing the wool duvet to my down feather duvet is that the down feather duvet was fluffier and I didn't have to take any special precautions when washing/drying it. Overall I would still pick a wool duvet over a down feather duvet due to the ability of wool to regulate heat better. ... show more

I've rewritten my review now that I've had this for almost a month. It's a wonderfully warm, breathable, lightweight comforter. Lightweight meaning actual physical weight considering this is a cotton and wool product, not a light-as-air synthetic. I really, really like this. Zero smell. The single negative I can come up with is it only has 4 corner loops for a duvet cover instead of a more secure 8 loops like many others have and as a result it shifts in the duvet. I debated this purchase for too long. This duvet is very high quality. I purchased mine at the beginning of summer, and the only night I pulled it off the bed was when temps had been well over 100f in the daytime. I find it to be quite breathable. It has a nice weight to it, but it is less fluffy than a standard down comforter. This is of little importance to me, but might be to someone else. The first night, I fell asleep hard. The cozy was undeniable. Since then, I've noticed that I'm less stuffed up, and my eyes are less puffy in the mornings. Wool, I think, is just more gentle with my allergies. All told, it is far better than I'd expected for the price. It's a wonderful deal, and a quality product. When I can, I'm going for the silk one, as well, as a double up option for when the very cold weather returns. ... show more

I skip the sleeping bag and go straight for this comforter when in my tent or my car. It wraps around and snuggles up perfectly. The outer material is smooth and comfortable, and it keeps my body temperature perfect in warm or cool weather. Looks great too!

After years of searching, and being super picky, I thought I'd give this a try. I LOVE THIS DUVET!!! It is so warm and cozy! Bed is my favorite place, and comfort is so important to me. I've had many different kind of duvets and this one is hands down the most comfortable, warm and cozy duvet ever! I also bought organic cotton bedding from Amazon with a duvet cover and I am thrilled! And I got it on a holiday sale - even better! I highly recommend this duvet.
