This is my first wool duvet, I've normally used down feather duvets in the past. I wanted to try the wool duvet because the down feathers tend to get too warm for me during this time of the year. I'm really liking this wool duvet so far. It's got a nice weight to it without being too heavy or too light. The cotton shell is soft and seems well made, and the wool stuffing also feels soft. It keeps me warm when my air conditioner kicks on while not making me sweat when the air conditioner turns off. I haven't been able to try it during the winter yet, but I don't see any reason why it wouldn't keep me warm all winter. The washing instructions were not very detailed so I decided to play it safe and use a special detergent for wool. I also tumble dried it with no heat for a while then I laid it flat on the bed to finish drying. It came out looking brand new, and the wool stayed evenly spread out without bunching. I don't really care for the large label that is sown into the bottom corner, but it's not a big annoyance since I use a duvet cover. I'm afraid I'll mess up the stitching if I try to remove the label. I also don't understand the point of the little zipper that allows you to look inside of one of the duvet squares since there is a liner between the wool and the cotton so all I can see/feel when I open the zipper is the liner. The liner appears to be made of cotton and it's obliviously there to hold the wool in place. Another review mentioned that the liner may be a polyester or some other synthetic martial, but I'm thinking it has to be cotton or another type of natural material since the duvet is able to breathe a little and does not cause me to overheat like synthetic materials do. The only cons I've noticed so far when comparing the wool duvet to my down feather duvet is that the down feather duvet was fluffier and I didn't have to take any special precautions when washing/drying it. Overall I would still pick a wool duvet over a down feather duvet due to the ability of wool to regulate heat better. ... show more

Such a luxe comforter. So warm and cozy. Good quality cotton on the outside and nicely crafted. My favorite comforter ever! It is worth the price in my opinion, a good investment.

It may be related, who knows, but ever since I began sleeping under this duvet, I have been having the most vivid dreams. I guess I didn't realize how little I had been dreaming in the past. It is comfortable in temperature, has some weight (so you get the weighted blanket benefit), soft, noiseless...just a great all around sleeping experience. I’ve been using the comforter for a few weeks now. A good weight for those that like a colder room with warm blankets. The ‘temperature regulation’ and breathable properties of wool do seem to work. Purchased this and a down comforter to replace an old down and have preferred the wool. The only downside is this moves around on the bed more than down. We love the warmth, comfort & materials. Unlike some materials it does not slide off the bed. It is not thick but is very warm & the weight is wonderful. The size is ample too, no fighting for blankets on my side of the bed. We really couldn't be more pleased!

You need to give it a night or two to fluff a little bit, because they ship it super compressed. So the first night I thought I made a mistake purchasing it and wanted to get my old one back, but was too lazy to get up. The second night it was already so much better that I didn't want to leave the bed in the morning. It's been 5 nights now. The comforter got back into shape, got some air and volume, and it is so good now, that I can't even describe the feeling when you go back to bed. It is very cold in my house. I had problems with cold feet with my old blanket. With this one the problem was solved. It warms you up very fast. The last 3 days I didn't even wake up in the middle of the night, what is usually my problem. No bad odor, a little bit stiff first 2 nights, very breathable after the first 2 nights. ... show more
