  • PORTABLE VISE: The Yost Vises MVC-3 is a 3-inch universal table vise made with ultra-durable aluminum alloy that allows the vise to be strong yet lightweight (1. 9 pounds). A soft rubber jaw cover helps protect your items from scratching or marring safely gripping delicate items.
  • TECHNICAL SPECS: Jaw Width: 3 (76MM) x Jaw Opening: 2 (51MM). Throat Depth: 1-3/16 Inch (30mm) Jaw Facing: 3 Inch x 3/4 Inch H (76mm x 19mm).
  • ORBITAL JOINT: Head rotates 360 degrees and tilts 45 degrees. Can clamp to surfaces up to 2 inch thick.
  • HOW TO USE: Make sure vise is securely mounted to the workbench or table and the swivel base lock is secure. Open the vise by turning the vise handle counterclockwise. Place item between the serrated jaws. Close the vise by turning the vise handle clockwise until the item is snug, continue to tighten until you can no longer move item. Don't over tighten as this may damage item and or the vise. When finished working on the item, turn the screw handle counterclockwise to release the item.

Awful quality. The whole head was loose as a goose upon arrival, had to completely take it apart to tighten.( it just loosened back up pretty much right away) and the ball housing has all kinds of burrs leftover from MFG and scratches the hell out of the aluminum ball. It’s extremely hard to even change angles because of this and it’s literally dropping metal shavings from it all over the floor. Thing is the biggest piece of ish i have ever bought besides the dollar store. If i paid more than $10 i would 100000% return it right away. It’s almost not worth the hassle for the $10 but i still might. I didn’t have super high expectations because the price and place of MFG but it left me in a stupid awe that they would even try to pass this off as anything else than scrap pot metal. ... show more

I really like this little vise. Living in an apartment, I don't have much room to do any kind of mechanical work. This clamped easily to my kitchen table without marring it, locked into any position I wanted and held parts steady. The only reason this didn't get five stars is that the rubber covers on the jaws deform easily, so they get a little chewed up. I wish they were made out of a little stiffer rubber or fit the jaws a bit tighter. Definitely good bang for the buck. ... show more

    • Light duty for sure. Not great, not terrible for 18$
Purchased this just to see how it is. Definitely light duty. Probably would be good for use as a little multi positioning clamp for light detail dremmel work on small pieces like jewelry or model type stuff. The “orbital ball” feature is what I liked upon purchasing, but it just doesn’t snug up tight enough. For less than 20$- not bad. ... show more

    • Surprisingly Sturdy!
Let me start by saying I did not have the highest expectations for this product. I was putting together an upper for a rifle and needed something to hold everything in place while I torqued the barrel nut. I don't have a workbench, and so I needed something that didn't have to be bolted down, and I landed on this little guy. The ball joint scared me as a point where it would probably give under pressure, but this seemed like the best available option. I was astounded by how sturdy it was. Once I tightened it down, this thing hardly moved. I was able to assemble a tight upper with it without issue, and I really could not be happier with it!
