Darker, almost black in lower right quadrant. But it is a quality fabric, white backed, nbathroom. Didn't need to iron. It's hard to find a curtain to fit a 38" height window, for my bathroom, which isn't fruit, flowers, or roosters! This 40" is perfect. Don't need a valance.
