    • Quick replacement, not exact fit
The fuel line is angled further back than the OEM equipment leading to a tight fit against the fan housing. I was able to get it to fit and work but it's not quite exact to fit without pressure on a Generac generator.

    • You can switch out the shaft for the choke rather than just the arm

Other reviewers have had problems because the choke arm isn't a "T" so there's nowhere to attach the cable. Some have painstakingly drilled out the rivet to remove the arm from their old carbs and attached them to the new one. But you can unscrew the screws you see in then picture, remove the shaft, and put the one from the old carb in its place. You can use either choke plate as they are the same size and shape. ... show more

    • Got my generator running right again.
My Briggs & Stratton EXL8000 generator came equipped with one of the infamous Nikki carburetors, and I don't know what it is about those things, but they just don't seem to hold up well over time. No amount of cleaning and rebuilding with new internal parts seemed to help. Finally decided to try this one, and it worked like a charm. Exact match for the old carburetor in terms of linkages, choke arm, and orientation of the fuel inlet tube. Also nice that the kit includes fuel filters (2!), gaskets, a short piece of tubing, shut off valve, and clamps. Ended up using most of these extra parts. During the process of installing everything, I was also very surprised to discover this generator did not have a fuel filter from "the factory". I had thought there must be one inside the fuel tank, as part of the fuel petcock, but it turns out not. Well...it has a filter now! ... show more

Worked well for my Generac XG7000E. I did have to drill out a rivet and transfer a small bracket for the choke cable to connect correctly. The quality is also less than Generac but hey, my generator runs great and saves money compared OEM pricing. I am very happy. The gaskets, valve, fuel line, and fuel filter also are nice. My old fuel shut off valve leaked when I turned it for the first time since hurricane Harvey...very glad to have the new one. ... show more
