I bought this rack to fit into a closet so I could better organize my Ryobi cordless power tools. Previously the tools were in a couple of soft-sided tool bags in the bottom of the closet, difficult to sort through to get the right pieces and parts. Using this slender column of shelving helped me better use some vertical real estate in the same closet. Now things are more visible and easier to get to when use is called for. The rack itself went together very easily. I have put similar shelves together before and appreciated the clear instructions and the attention to detail by the manufacturer. For instance the markings occasionally had a double line which made it easier to level the shelves when choosing the heights for each shelf. Time will tell if the shelves are sturdy, although I have them in a space where they shouldn’t have too many demands on their strength. ... show more

Just assembled this unit today. I realized I was 4 poles short after I had it assembled. Amazon tells me to contact the manufacturer, but, there is no contact info on the instructions. I'm a little put out, but, I already have to return another shelving unit because it's missing poles (different manufacturer). At least that one is light enough to return to Kohls. Anyway, check for missing poles before assembly & have someone available to carry it if it has to returned. I really like the unit & needed it in my laundry room. Just would've like it to be 1 shelf taller. This is the 1st time I've had this problem & I have a lot of this type shelving in our house. ... show more

I put this together by myself and getting the first shelf on trying to hold all 4 poles was not easy. After that it was much easier. The poles are thinner than some of my other shelving units but, for what I needed this works great. I needed a shelf next to my tool box to hold small items. I've assembled quite a few of these wire shelf units. This one was the biggest hassle I've ever encountered among any of them. First of all I was expecting the support posts to be the standard width that bigger units use and they are not. While the thickness that this one is composed of will still be sufficient for reasonable weights for its size, it did make it harder to work with. The small plastic clamps which snap around the support posts to provide an anchor for the shelves were difficult to use. They do not fit as well as other items I've used in the past. They don't quite perfectly encapsulate the support post. Because it's such a tall unit it was extremely difficult to get all of the four supports for each shelf in perfect alignment and many times I had to reposition the clamps over and over. In the end I managed to assemble it and do so with all of the shelves upside down. It's just too much of a hassle to redo it again. If you do buy this item because it's the perfect size for you, get a friend to help you. You're going to need two people to stabilize this thing and have a tape measure available because you will need that to position things evenly. ... show more
