Halifax storage carts feature a multitude of drawers for easily accessible storage in your home office, kitchen, craft room, or a child's room. Optional locking casters to use them with or without casters for stationary or mobility storage. Crate a workspace by placing tabletop over 2 of 7-drawer carts for high table or 5-drawer creates a normal table height. Available in white, black, walnut finish. Choose from 5-drawer or 7-drawer with cut-out drawer pull. Drawer inside dimension 15.90-inch w by 11.73-inch d by 2.55-inch h. If a caster is used, 2.16-inch is clearance between floor and bottom of cart. Assembly required.

I would give this set of cabinet/drawers 4.5 if possible, only because some of the instructions could be clearer and some of the illustrations are slightly different than the actual parts, and the wheel attaching process could be better. But I'm surprised at how solid and sturdy the wood feels (compared to other times I've gone with cheap furniture) and I had no real problems putting it together. I can see where some of the reviewers had problems, especially with the drawers. I also had to reverse one step (take the top off) because instructions didn't make it super obvious that I needed to install the back panel during a previous step. Super obvious meaning like Ikea makes their instructions. However, if you very carefully look at every step and diagram you should be fine! I noticed the pictures of the drawer rails don't have the same number of holes in them that the actual pieces do. I used a little common sense and made a *complete test drawer* to make sure I got it right. The way the wheels attach to the bottom is very flimsy and screws were going in at all directions because the holes don't line up that well with the holes in the wheel plate thing. Having said that, they all got in and the cabinet is standing strong, full of stuff, as I write this. It doesn't feel weak, it just seems like they could have lined those up better for my peace of mind. I was nervous buying this cabinet because of the one start reviews but now I feel like it deserves my rounded-up 5 stars to compensate for those. It's exactly what I needed, nice combination of big cabinet, small drawers for random crap, and a narrow profile. Looks good too! ... show more

Good: Compact and inexpensive. Good finishes. Looks good in place. Not so good: Fasteners cannot be installed with power drivers, the particle board is too weak. Diagrams/instructions are small. No text. I read all the reviews before buying. I decided that most problems described could be avoided, and I took the plunge. I also decided that once built, I would lock the casters and make it a fixed cabinet, and that I would use it for light items only. It arrived quickly in fine condition. I sorted the parts and got out the tools. I think it would be easy to tear out a screw or anchor hole if you used an electric driver. So I decided to use only a hand screwdriver (Phillips with interchangeable bits), a soft mallet and a millimeter ruler. When complete, the unit was fine with no damage or weakness. The drawers are level and flush with the front and work very well. I think anyone that has built particle board furniture before can easily do this if they take care and invest the time. But be ready for the small diagrams as instructions - there is no text. There are a lot of panels and drawer runners, and many screws and anchors. For those so inclined, it would be easy to reinforce the drawer bottoms and put angle brackets on the back of the unit to make the cabinet more rigid. I've only had it a few days, and I rate it a 5 primarily for attractiveness, and high utility at low cost. ... show more

So before I purchased this item, I was really skeptical because I always read reviews and this product had a lot of bad ones. But I decided to go through with my order anyways because I know some people are just really picky with extremely high standards,and I have been looking for one of these for a long time for a decent price. So the package came one day late (I didn't mind, things happen) and I immediately opened it as soon as the mail man dropped it off. As I was unpacking all the pieces, everything was in pretty decent shape! Yes a couple bumps and chips on the wood like I saw in previous reviews (but what can you expect, it's cheep wood for gosh sakes). The instructions weren't very easy to read/understand(no words just pictures), but if you're pretty observant and have even a slight IQ you can figure it out. I'm a 23 year old woman and I've never built anything in my life. I was able to put this thing together in a few hours with little to no help. There is a lot of pieces, so it is sort of timely (hence, it took a few hours). But I honestly thought the quality was pretty decent once it was put together! The drawers are held very sturdy. And the presentation is actually beautiful! (Idk why people were saying the drawers fall out cause definitely don't). I'd definitely recommend this product to either people trying to save a little money, or someone who is just getting started like myself. Overall, I'd say this is an awesome product and I'm happy with my purchase! *If you're a mid-aged wife who wants everything to look perfect, this product isn't for you. There is slight damage in the wood and it chips while you're screwing the screws in. They have a similar version at IKEA which is probably heavier duty with a little better presentation. ***update, 3 years later, 7/7/20. I didn't realize this comment would be such a hit, or that people would even see it lol. Please excuse younger me, I was only trying to make it more clear who this product was most ideal for. Anyways, I STILL have this product, and it's still in great shape! All the drawers are still intact, and it has little to no scratches or nicks in the wood.
