Fairly simple design here, I most likely won't use the flag garland as I'm putting this on mom's new bed. But the lights I will, not sure about the stars. I'm thinking the stars will well in my room LOL. But I had downsized my mom's bed from queen to the full (could not get her to agree to a twin size...) so we could have more room in her bedroom. She just has too much stuff. And I was worried with her having had the health issues she has that if she ends up needing to use a wheel chair, with the queen size bed there was just no room in there! So with rearranging and trying to sort/organize, it's better than it was. So I had bought a beautiful twin size tall four poster bed, and of course as soon as she saw it she wants it! LOL. I told her no to keep her in the dark that I actually got it for her for Xmas LOL. I knew once she saw this bed she would agree to go down to the twin size LOL. So I'm going to use this on her new bed, really make it nice for her. She didn't have nice things growing up, I just want to make her happy in her older years and show her how much I love her. I'm going to need to do wood top rails for this to hang it, but that will be simple with a few 2 X 2's attached to the top finials on the four poster bed. I'll stain them to match the bed, use leather cord to attach them together and to the finials, wrap the fairy lights on them, then put the netting over it all. I think it'll be awesome and very pretty! I had looked at tons of listing here on Amazon for these, so I feel really good about saying this is a great set to buy for the regular price $39.99 per the listing, and it's on sale right now for just $27.99 making it a great buy! Awesome way to give your little or big girl the fantasy bedroom of their dreams! As always I only do honest reviews and will update if needed. So, I have a queen sized bed, I thought about getting an appropriate size, and then I thought about my cats and their tendency to get tangled in things and then I decided that maybe having a canopy that is shorter than normal MIGHT be the best route to go. The canopy fits on my bed since I have a posted bed frame, I just had to get a little inventive with how I affixed it, but it worked fine and it looks awesome. I really like the lights that I wrapped around my frame, the pennants are a little cheap, I am probably going to either replace them with canvas that I paint on (I am debating moon phases or heraldry) or just take them down eventually. I tossed the glowing stars atop the canopy and scattered them around, they don't have the most intense glow, but it is there in the dark and it is pleasant. There was nothing overly special about the canopy, I have had similar ones to this when I was younger and I did find the tulle to be a little softer, which I appreciate because that stuff can be so unpleasantly stiff, I like the gauzy white, but I am tempted to see if I can dye it purple to match my sheets. ... show more

This canopy will be absolutely gorgeous if I ever manage to outsmart it and get it all hung up! I'm installing it a bit differently than it's really meant for soooo....As usual, my old house and horrible textured ceilings make everything more awkward! But I LOVE this canopy set!!! I may be pushing 50, but I refuse to grow up, so I'm creating the "dream room" I wanted as a child lol...I had a lovely room but really bad allergies so wasn't able to have anything like this that could gather a lot of dust. Anyways, I have made a half-canopy over my bed using a hula hoop attached to door frame. This canopy is meant to be hung from ceiling hooks or attached to bedposts. I try not to touch my ceilings because that hideous texture crap falls all over everything! I'm gathering and basting this stuff so I can just drape it evenly over my hoop. Its working well, I'm just really bad at measuring and marking for where to stitch. This fabric had a funny chemical odor when I opened package, so I ran it thru a gentle cold rinse with my favorite fabric fragrance and dried it on air fluff with a dry bath sheet for 20 minutes, worked great, no chemical odor left. The only thing I'm not really loving is the odd brown edging on the ruffle...I think it should have been either a girly pastel or just white...but I plan to cover that with some pink fringe left over from another project. They give you lots of fun extras with this canopy, as well as everything needed to install it. There's glowing stars, colorful penants and plenty of ribbons for hanging and for tying sections back. I won't be putting the stars on my ceiling obviously, but I've got a black framed mirror they will look great on! Overall, this canopy set is just beautiful and any frill loving child...or adult....will love it! I will say it's much easier to hang if you have a helper to keep it from twisting and snagging on any rough surfaces or nearby furniture...window sills, headboard, etc...my wicker headboard has been a problem til I draped a sheet over it. Sorry for such a rambling review, I'm just excited getting this hung up. Obviously, I wholeheartedly recommend this gorgeous set! Get your frill on today!!! I can honestly say, installation would not be a problem if I was doing it as its meant to be instead of having to modify for my particular setting. ... show more
