Rear bag, side discharge or mulch, it does it all and at a more affordable price than the ones in the local box stores. We selected this mower for a few reasons. Our old one died. We are older people who just don't have access to haul from the store. And finally the reviews for this one sounded really good. The reviews mentioned this mower starts right up easily with just 1 pull. No it does not! The cord pulls extremely hard and you really must yank several times to get it to start. It also is advertised as a easy mower to use. Easy, ok in the fact there are no bells and whistles (and no self propelled feature). This is a heavy mower that pushes really hard. If you are older with arthritis and other health problems then this machine will feel like it is killing you. When putting together the advertising, consideration should be made that customers come in all ages, walks, conditions and so many more categories. And not everyone has a young person who can help with this task. Truth in advertising is crucial. The catcher bag broke on the 1st use at a corner where there is a weld joint. And the flap on the back to stop things from flying out is breaking off. We will never again buy one of these brand mowers and I definitely don't recommend it for anyone unless you really want a headache. ... show more

Overall solid lawnmower. It’s not the best one I’ve used but for the money it’s a decent value. Pros: Inexpensive, easy to assemble (although the instructions aren’t great) Cuts well, and is comfortable to push. Cons: Instructions were not the most well laid out, oil fill is placed very poorly, some very tight working areas for adjusting blade hight, or other adjustments. Mower was NOT brand new when arrived (not happy about that from Amazon). Must have been returned. After first start up, mower was surging and would not restart when warm unless I Primed it again and the bag would fall off when going backwards. After Googling about surging, it seems to be the Idle Jet (I did call tech support and they sent me a new carb.) I noticed that the Idle Jet was off by a little bit and a quick fix seems to fix the surging and restart issues. I had to cut the rear grass flapper about 2" so now the bag will not come off. So far so good, only issue now (and I don't think there is a fix for it), when I go backwards it leaves some grass clippings behind and have to go forward to clean that up... ... show more
