  • Awesome guitar
Color: Natural Configuration: Acoustic-Electric Guitar
I’m a semi disabled low income man and am thankful for a good guitar in this price range. The packaging from Chicago music exchange was perfect, no cracks in shipment or nicks and dents. It just needed to be tuned. Thank you for bringing this joy in my life. My old guitar is 20 years old and the intonation is off and it doesn’t stay in tune. Thank You! ... show more

  • Great guitar for the price
Color: Natural Configuration: Guitar
Just received an hour ago. Double boxed. Looks fine. No dents or imperfections. Sounds good so far. Tone is just ok; but well within the range of what I expected for the price. No unpleasant surprises. Holds tuning. I'm happy. Edit: Guitar is sounding better and better with time. Good sound and easy to play. ... show more

  • Perfect guitar whether you are a beginner or enthusiast
Color: Natural Configuration: Gigmaker Package
I love it! The sound is excellent, it echoes long after you let the string go. Beautiful, rich sound. Tuner is good, it’s useful while strings are getting used to tension, as they need to be tuned often during first few days. Quality is superb I don’t know what kind of magic is that, but playing F and Bm type of chords is much easier on this one than on cheaper ones I played before If you are beginner, you might want to get nylon strings, or be ready to gradually increase playing time, while your fingers adjust ... show more

  • The guitar sounds really good but the package is awful
Color: Natural Configuration: Guitar
The guitar sounds really good but the package is awful, providing little protection. On the neck I found two cracks that I don't think are serious problems at all. They could have been avoided if there were some cushion in the box. Anyway, it is a great guitar for beginners with thin fingers.

  • Great guitar
Color: Natural Configuration: Guitar
The guitar arrived when promised. It was well packaged and arrived in perfect condition with the strings already in place. The guitar is beautifully finished and of solid construction. I am first time guitar buyer and a beginning player. I've been practicing with it for a couple of weeks and it is still in tune from the first time I tightened the strings. The strings lie close to the fret board making it easy to work on learning chords. So far I couldn't be more pleased with purchasing this beautiful Yamaha guitar. ... show more

  • Strings are rusty
Color: Natural Configuration: Gigmaker Package
Finally I got this guitar delivered yesterday on 8/3 after 5 days of delay and as soon I took it out from box I see the strings are rusty .. new guitar should not have rusty strings.. Wish there is proper inspection of the product before sending to customer..

  • Great sound - Slightly poor worksmanship, Bad Case
Color: Natural Configuration: Gigmaker Package
I got this guitar to replace my Mitchell guitar based on reviews. The price was good. Also, it is the Yamaha brand name. The sound, I was told by my teacher, was very good and he said it was a good buy. The tuner is OK....better to buy a Korg tuner from Amazon. Haven't tried the DVD yet. I have only two complaints: 1) The bag, as pointed out by another review, is very flimsy. It has no straps, no padding. It just has a carry handle. You would want to buy another gig bag 2) The worksmanship is lacking at certain points....e.g. where the neck extends on to the body of the guitar, you see glue that was squeezed out from under. I am a stickler for aesthetics. Some people are not bothered with such stuff. OVERALL A VERY GOOD GUITAR PS - You might want to check out the GigMaker Deluxe...similar guitar but has a solid spruce top and is only $10-$20 extra. I did not know about it otherwise would have bought that. However, as I came to know later, solid wood tops sound good but need to be kept in controlled humidity whereas the laminate tops don't care about humidity. If you want to control humidity, you can buy a little humidifier (no electricity needed) that drops into the sound hole of the guitar. ... show more

Color: Natural Configuration: Gigmaker Package
My daughter really wanted a new guitar for Christmas, so I purchased this one. This is her second guitar and she’s been very happy with it.
