I was happy with this purchase. I think this spray smells the best out of a lot os mens sprays out there. This size is nice and big and has lasted me over a year so far - it is still above 2/3 full.

This scent is unique, there is no doubt about that. I blind buy all of my scents...partly because I’m dumb, but partly because I like the surprise. When I first opened Sauvage, I was not overly enthused. Just opening the package I got a generic, high(er) end axe spray, “cologne I had smelled somewhere at sometime before but couldn’t put my finger on it,” kind of scent. Then I started wearing it. It is surprisingly versatile, and I now find myself reaching for this bottle when I don’t feel like wearing a traditional warm fall scent (D&G The One, Versace Eros, CH Men, etc) It opens very sweet/fruity but with a substantial peppery base, which I pull some of the patchouli as well. It is clean, soapy, or somewhat “cool.” It is not a warm scent, but can be worn year round. Unlike Bleu De Chanel, which I feel opens and transforms from the initial grapefruit note, Sauvage is more linear, and what you get when you spray it is what you get several hours later, but that isn’t a bad thing. I’ve owned colognes where I wished the dry down was as good as the opening notes. If you like Sauvage out of the bottle, you will like Sauvage 6 hours later. It is not a bad fragrance, but I don’t think it has 5 star power. To my nose, it is not as well done as Bleu De Chanel. It comes off a bit more synthetic, and less versatile, but I know others who love it, and I cant really complain, as I received compliments the first day I wore it. ... show more
