  • So good
Size: 1.37 Pound (Pack of 2)
This is honestly the best honey I’ve ever had. It is so good I could eat a spoonful of it by itself. Its stickier than store bought honey but a little goes a long way in tea. I wish it wasn’t so expensive but it is worth the price bc you get two jars. I’ll buy again forsure.

  • Y.S. Eco Bee Farms Raw Honey 22 oz 2 pack is the best deal I've found for raw honey.
Size: 1.37 Pound (Pack of 2)
Whenever possible, I prefer to shop locally however, when it comes to raw honey, if I were to purchace this same amount locally, I'd be charged easily triple the amount, or more. While I understand all the time, effort & cost that goes into caring for hives (which is extremely important these days due to pesticides & habitate loss descimating the numbers of wild bees and other pollinators) and collecting the wonderfully beneficial products thereof, I'm also, as many others, on a budget & getting more for my dollar along with good quality, is what will ultimately, win me over. The quality of a product is the most important factor for me, therefore, finding quality at reasonable rates can be a near impossibility. Well, my search has come to a most satisfactory end, as I've found superb quality at a fantasticly reasonable price with Y.S. Eco Bee Farms Raw Honey - 22 oz, Pack of 2. The taste is delicious! yet may be a bit overstated for those not used to raw honey. However, with use, one will become accustomed too the lovely, unique taste. Also, as honey is at least twice as sweet as table sugar, a little goes a long way so, start with less & work your way up to your desired sweetness level. Personally, I find the taste of raw honey absolutely delightfull & there are many wonderful flavors depending upon what type of flowers the keepers plant as a main food source for their hives. Also, I find the small layer of natural bee's wax that collects at the top of the jars of raw honey a big plus, as I know there's plenty of beneficial goodness, collected from our tiny little bee friends, in there as well. The one and only drawback I can find with this product is that it's packaged in plastic jars. While I'm sure this cuts back on the weight & therefore, shipping costs (which isn't a factor for me as I'm a prime member & highly recommend prime membership, as one receives a plethora of benefits for only $79/yr), personally I'd rather have glass as there are many great useses for glass jars. Yes, some will say, "plastic's recyclable so just toss it in your reycle bin & don't worry about it" but, it takes energy & water to recycle & I know this goes for recycling of glass as well but, I simply prefer glass as it doesn't hold odors as plastic can & I just find it more versitile. Again, these are just my personal prefrences & in only a very small way, does it lessen my liking for this product. I'd rather reuse & even if plastic is labeled as food grade, I use it as little as possible, unless it's derived from vegetables & I never, ever put plastic in the microwave. It's just common sense that heating plastic is unhealthy. This brings me to a good tip: never microwave raw honey to soften it (raw honey can be quite solid, depending upon ambient temperature & thus can be difficult to remove from the container). Microwaving or using very high heat (essentially pasturization) to soften raw honey will kill many or all of the beneficial properties found in raw honey, therefore defeating the point of using raw honey. The best way I've found to solve this problem is to soak a spoon in very hot water then use the heated spoon to remove the honey from the container. Also, as many know but, some may not, NEVER give honey, especially raw honey, to children under the age of 2 years. ... show more
