Our family room in the basement is used for game consoles and as home gym. We have a TV hooked up with Xbox, Wii, and PlayStation so our kids spend their majority of their time in the basement playing video games so we try to limit and restrict the amount of playing time but they can never remember or stop when they need to so we decided to get this wall clock with giant LED display screen that you can see from anywhere in the room. It shows the date, time, day of the week, and temperature by default but you can also use it as a timer, which is exactly what I needed for my kids. It came inside a well packaged box and the screen has protective film. It's cool that it has a kickstand as well as wall mount hole so you can choose to hang it or just stand it on a table. It's nice that it also provides wall mount guide so you don't have to measure the distance between the mount holes. It does only run on AC power and it does have a very long AC cable with cable management compartment on the back, which also included a backup batteries to remember the time and all the setting even when you unplug it from the AC power. You can change the brightness and while you can change all the settings from the back of the clock, it comes with awesome remote control that can change all settings you need to. I can easily start the count up or down timer using the remote control or set the alarm clock. Once the timer ends, it will beep as a reminder but you really can't miss the timer counting down as it's very big, bright and easy to read from anywhere in the room. It appears well constructed and a quality product, has both a bright and low setting depending upon whether you want to bathe the room in a red glow, or keep it subtle. Don’t worry about the paper directions, I thought they were confusing but the remote is very well laid out. After fiddling around with the buttons I had it figured out in a minute or two. I absolutely love this clock! I would 100% buy one again and have already recommended it to others. I mounted mine above my TV in my home office. Its a perfect size for the space I had there and I have a clear line of sight to it. Its 11.5 feet from my eyes to the clock face and the size of the numbers is just right; they're small enough I can take in the numbers at a glance but they're large enough I dont have to extend effort to make them out. I can easily glacne over at it and read it with no effort or strain. As far as brightness, I actually keep mine on the lowest setting when its on. I havent wanted anymore brightness than that. Granted I dont have a big window or door shining tons of light in my room so depending on your lighting situation you may want to turn it up more. One of my very favorite parts about the brightness is the fact that you can completely turn off the display. There is a guest bed in this room and even the lowest brightness setting is a bit bright in a dark room so being able to turn the display off is so amazing. It's one simple button press of the remote to toggle it on or off. I havent used any of the other features of the clock so I cant comment on them but as a clock, I LOVE IT. Oh! And having the calendar info displayed is another thing I love. I can never remember the date so it's handy to have it at a glance. ... show more

I am a teacher, bought this to mount on the wall for my classroom. I LOVE the color changes and the temp / date switching features. Also love that is has a remote so when our power goes out (if the battery backup fails) I don't have to get up on a ladder to change the time. (Our power goes out a lot). Unfortunately from installation the remote didn't work quite right. Had to play around to find an angle that would work between the remote and clock. Buttons on the remote don't seem to line up right with the actuators under each button. I've had it up for 4 months, runs a little slow. About 2 months in I noticed the faceplate on the font of the clock looks like it has warped outwards slightly. It's no longer flat against the case / face of the clock. I'm sure no one has messed with it. Hopefully it holds up for longer. Would still recommend. ... show more
