I absolutely love this clock! I bought it for my house, and it works great, but I am planning to buy another one for the back of the Sanctuary at church, because it will be easily readable from the anywhere in that fairly large room. Things I really like include: * Wifi — It tracks time, outside local temperature, date via Wifi, so no need to set it, even after power has been off (this is the main reason i wanted it). * Size — I can read it from far away. * Brightness — The brightness can be set manually, or it can auto-adjust per the room brightness. Auto-adjust works great and that’s where I leave it. * The chime — you can select from 3 different chimes on the hour, and set the volume. Or, you can just turn this feature off. I have it set to the classic Westminster chime. Sounds GREAT! * The remote — The remote is very handy. It allows you to easily switch to timer mode, adjust brightness and volume, and you can even turn the display completely off (in case you are using it at night in your bedroom). * Versatility — I am using it on a table at my house, but plan to mount it on the wall at church. It is setup for either configuration. * Setup — the instructions were easy to follow and wifi setup was a breeze. If you are looking for a large display clock that you will never again have to set — THIS IS THE ONE TO GET. Wow! I love this clock! I have an irrational fascination for inexpensive, yet super-accurate clocks. I have been searching for a consumer-grade *WiFi* clock for about ten years and was shocked when this one popped up, finally. You've already read about how big, bright, and handsome it is so I'll skip all that. I have been trying to figure out how this actually works. I assumed it used "NTP" a protocol your PC uses to fetch the current time from another computer on the internet. I used Wireshark to sniff the traffic for this unit but never found any NTP packets. Someone in another review said that it actually just uses the timestamps on packets it receives on the WiFi connection, but I am skeptical. If anyone knows for sure, please leave a comment. Regardless, it's reliably getting the time and is bang-on accurate to the second. Set up was a little challenging and is the cause for most of the poor reviews. It requires using your cell phone and connecting directly to the clock's built-in web server to share your home's WiFi SSD and password. Pro tip: the server is always running (you'll need a network scanner to find the IP address) and offers a way to change the time zone and (get this) to upload some kind of update to the clock, should that ever become available. I could not be more pleased! I hope the manufacturer (Maoming Yongyao Clock) releases more products like this. It truly is a one-of-a-kind product on Amazon. My next quest is to find a GPS-trained, affordable, consumer-grade clock! ... show more

This thing is HUGE.... and Blue... and keeps accurate time. Checks all of my boxes. Sometimes I don't want it on ( in my home office / movie room ) so have it connected to a smart plug. I can use Google Voice to turn off / on the power to it and when it comes back on, it remember all of it's settings and pops back up with the correct time. I am not 100% sure how accurate the indoor temperature reading is. I have a 20'x12' home office / movie room.. it's on one side of the room, my office desk is on the other. I have two temperature devices and they don't sync up... but my desk gives off heat ( monitors and computers ) so that might affect the readings... but overall.... the Clock's temperature is consistent.... if I feel warm, the temperature is higher than when I feel cold... Anyway... I love this clock. ... show more

I wanted to have a wi-fi wall clock so that it would always be set and accurate. The atomic time signal does not reach Hawaii very well so this is what I was looking for. Once it is set, you can forget it as it keep the time. It was a little challenging to set up as the daylight savings needed to be turned off, but that had to be done slightly differently from the instructions but was something not impossible to figure out. The dimmer feature is no good as it senses light wrong so I just leave it on bright. The alternating date and temperature is a nice feature, but the temperature reads somewhere on the clock where it is warm so it displays the temperature of the side of the clock where it is warm, not the the room temperature. It does what I wanted, being a wi-fi clock. It lost a star due to the daylight savings time setup issue, poor auto dimmer and bad temperature reading. For an accurate wi-fi clock it is good and gets the job done. ... show more
