Well, this is a nice bit of kit, as the Brits might say... It is a LARGE and very colorful digital clock that you can hang on a wall or sit on a table by folding out the little stand on the clock's back. But perhaps the coolest feature here is the Bluetooth auto time setting. Just plug this sucker in, pair it with your phone, and voila -- time of day appears as if by magic, followed by weekday, month, date, and even ambient room temperature, the first three apparently enabled by battery memory backup, the latter by a built-in thermometer! This beats the heck out of those atomic time clocks that could never pick up a signal in my first-floor NYC apartment... I might mention that figuring out where the power input resides on the clock was one of my hardest chores setting it up. (Answer: plug the power cord in inside the battery compartment and route the cord in your choice of one or two directions.) But that's just the beginning of the tricks this clock has up its screen. You can set the brightness to either of two levels -- or engage the auto mode, which adjusts the LED's according to room ambience. You can also just turn off the screen, if you prefer a dark room while you sleep, for example. Buttons on the back of the clock cover all functions, as does a sturdy remote provided. Did I reveal that in addition to alarm, the clock will also serve as a countdown timer? An hourly chime is available as well, in your choice of three familiar melodies. (An auto setting option shuts off the chime overnight automatically.) Then there are the LED colors. You can have the clock show its information in one of several uniform colors. Or choose a dynamic array, where entire letters and numbers -- or segments of them -- phase from one vivid color to the next. Last but not least, as I mentioned before, the clock keeps the time and its memory in case of blackouts with two provided batteries. And did I say how easily even a dry-eyed senior can read this eye-catching clock across a room? In summary, two thumbs up for this cool clock! I really like this extra-large clock, but it has so many features & settings that it can be a little complicated. The instructions are pretty good, and it works as it describes for the most part. It can be really bright & really loud (dimmable & the volume is adjustable). The remote is great & pretty easy to use/figure out. For a device that has to be plugged in to work, I do like how long the power cord is & goes into a little compartment on the back so it can hang flat against the wall. It also has a stand so it can sit on a table/mantle. I appreciate that all the batteries are included (I got 1 faulty battery that the end piece fell off but not a big deal) and I love that it has backup batteries installed so it remembers the time & settings if you lose power. It is really large but looks great on display - definitely a 'center piece'. I love all the different color schemes/settings - it's easy to mix it up from time to time if you get bored. I wanted a digital wall clock that was big, bright, and colorful! This fits the criteria! It's wired, but works well for what I need. The clock display is bright and bold. It also display's the weekday as well as transition from the date and temperature. You can set up any color you'd like if you have the multi-color digital clock. You can use your phone to connect to it as well with Bluetooth, but I find that unnecessary as you have a remote, but a good backup if ever you lose the remote! Looking for a big clock? You've found one, I love this thing! This will work well in just about any size room. I'm amazed by the ingenuity this clock contains..... all you have to do is go to blue tooth and tap on the LED CLOCK that pops up and it automatically sets the date / time without any further intervention. My understanding is that it automatically synchronizes with your phone anytime they are near each other. That's an awesome implementation of the technology. ... show more
