These are perfect to hold up those new little plants as they want to fall over on you. But be careful to take them off as your stem strengthens. I left them on my tomato plants a bit too long and some of the roots around the base started to migrate through the crevices. Tomato plants still thrived beautifully and I had great success rates on my tomatoes... but would recommending to remove as soon as they have strengthened. ... show more

Personally I like softer neoprene collars and these are quite stiff. The one big issue I have with them besides the stiffness is that every one of these collars has a small circular plug of foam that either falls into your grow system or makes a mess on the floor. There are better options for sure, but these are dirt cheap so I think you get what you pay for. ... show more
