I had been wanting to paint the rafters in my basement black for a while, and when I saw this on the Vine program, I figured there was no time like the present! This sprayer worked really well with black dryfall paint. I used the small extension wand to the painting, then I didn't need to worry about a step ladder to get good coverage. It paints nice and evenly right out of the box. I didn't have to do anything special to get it primed and running out of a five gallon bucket. It made insanely quick work of the painting job.     • So much faster!
Even with the extra taping and covering that needs to be done to use this paint sprayer, the process of painting is so much faster and cleaner that it's easily worth it. The setup of the machine is pretty straightforward and only takes a couple minutes. Despite this sprayer having "low overspray," you'll want to mask pretty much EVERYTHING in the room (including yourself!) The sprayer does have a reasonably low overspray, but aerosolized paint will cover everything with a fine layer if not protected. I like that you can adjust the width of the spray for what you need. I found that one coat was definitely not enough coverage, but the coats are thin enough that I could start in on a second coat almost as soon as I was done the first one. The cleaning process was thankfully easy. Aside from wiping things down, you'll just need a five-gallon bucket of clean water to run the sprayer through until it comes out clean. Overall, the additional assembly etc was absolutely worth the time I saved by not trying to do this by hand! ... show more

    • Little easier to clean than most, but pressure same as lower cost one. Cannot do elastomeric paint.
The quality does not match the cost in terms of spraying ability , I have another sprayer that cost about half this, and it is about as effective as well. However, this one is a bit easier to clean and has a longer reach, so it does have some advantages. Sprayers in general are good for outdoors or when you have nothing in a room. It is way too much work to tape off everything inside a room to deal with overspray. For things like fences though, very much worth it, so much easier to get into all the spaces between slats and a smoother finish. Also for outside painting, like sheds especially if they are rough. It did not work well with thicker elastomeric paint that I wanted to use on my stucco. It just could not muster the power to push the paint through the sprayer smoothly. It did fine with normal outdoor house paint (with some back rolling) and stain (which was fine without any rolling). I also want to note that it says 3000psi but the max on high spray adjustment directions is 2900psi. ... show more
